Saturdays Trip to West Ham should yield the Clarets a much needed 3 points, thanks to a back in form Chris Wood.

As we look forward to the game, let's start the excitement rolling with the tinned food count.

May I present you with a soon to be in my belly via a chilli jacket potato, a glorious can of Tesco Black Beans in Water.

I know beans have been done quite a lot in the tinned food count and for that I apologise. After going to TWO supermarkets this week and reminding myself to get something interesting, I naturally forgot on both occasions.

Anyway, let the guessing commence. As usual we are looking for the closet to the correct number of beans and residual juice in ml.

Entry closes at 2PM sharp tomorrow with the result shortly afterwards. I'll be periodically checking the post for duplicates and will contact you asap. Please use CTRL+F to find the number in the page if it's already there before posting (although I did that last week and still failed to spot the number I was going for!).

An excellent Count OP there, Tarkys. Wonderful photography.

But please, what_no_pies, remember that the ethereal powers neither are nor consider themselves as 'Gods'.

Tbh I'm worried already as to how exactly they might react to that description: just as I was worried about some inappropriate frivolity last time regarding Ralph's perfectly valid choice of Commodity. I got the feeling that the ethereals might not appreciate that, and indeed pon seeing it my confidence was affected and for a second I envisioned us losing 1-0 to Man U through a crappy deflected goal. We all of course know exactly what did actually transpire...

We should all be constantly aware that this Counting is a serious business, and that such frivolity is appropriate only after the Count is completed.

Anyway, I'm going with 144 in 164.

After a long, LONG count the independent panel of international independent judges has agreed that there are 564 beans, a figure that nobody has come anywhere near close to!
A pixel counter similar to what VAR uses was needed to determine the volume of juice, 187ml has been unanimously agreed upon.

Our winners therefore are;

claretmistberg with 327 beans
whatnopies with a guess of 188ml a mere 1ml off and on the very first entry to the count.

Well done all of you, now lets see a lovely 0-2 victory to the clarets via Wood and Barnes goals.
