He's scored more Premier league goals than any of our strikers so I think you're wrong by some distance

He scored 6 goals last season and hasn't scored in the championship this season. Do you think he's better than our top two strikers?

To be fair you have to have funds to improve the stadium.Elizabeth wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 9:02 pmYou don’t think these new owners are going to improve the stadium and atmosphere ? They want to make the name of Burnley big on the international stage including America. Someone will be able to find where Pace has said as much.
The stadium and facilities are run down on most parts and I’m sure fans will react positively to such an uplift

Top 2? The guy said any of our strikers not top 2 and I've rightly disagreed as he clearly is and his goals return shows that

The owners haven’t spent a penny in January yet they are having to flip shares just so they can afford to pay off Garlick.

I’m not complacent just confident we are going to stay up, so much so that I am not worrying we will get beat by any side ( after Wed of course )

Just popped up on my pad that Everton and Fulham have both agreed B’mouths terms for King. Must be down to the player, who purportedly wanted to return to the NW.

Agreed Liz but its far from over and im pointing out it can change quickly. An injury now to either tarky or mee would prove disastrous. You could add mcneil to that. Small margins given our lack of depthElizabeth wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 9:17 pmAnd if we beat them here and they beat us there what does that do to the swing ?

Sorry if I’ve missed this but according to Sky we have signed a Dara Costelloe from Galway United and Chris Conn-Clarke has gone on loan at Fleetwood.
Edit. Just wikied him. A pacy 19yo left winger. One for the U23s I’d imagine.

It’s Elizabeth , Dominic. Glad we can find some agreement.
Your worries are in the back of all our minds but we have to believe in the new owners working with Dyche and try and repress painting these worst scenarios

Re: January Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
The thing is Elizabeth EVEN I (bizarrely noted for my unswerving pessimism) believe we have enough to stay up, BUT as has been said by many, we're only 1 or 2 injuries to the really key players (Tarks/Mee essentially) from all that dramatically changing. What happened in the early part of the season was frightening and we were simply cannon fodder, even for the mediocre/below average teams like Newcastle. The back up we have in certain key positions is clearly not good enough and if called upon we'll be bu****ed!! Hence I really would have slept a whole lot better with just 1 (maybe 2) decent, considered signings.Elizabeth wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 9:17 pmAnd if we beat them here and they beat us there what does that do to the swing ?

This may be a final contribution tonight.
Dyche got a bit lippy with Garlick over transfers at the start of the season but has kept it buttoned this time.
Any reason ?

So I take it, by all these comments about ALK and the fact that they have said ‘no comment’ on the subject of flipping shares to pay off Garlick, that we have been well and truly taken to the cleaners. Have I got it right?

I think most just have far more concerning things going on at the moment, I think everyone’s different and evidently there’s a core of 10/20 or so on here that are very concerned, each to their own

It might not be that critical but certainly puts the club in a precarious position if the next instalment is not paid.dermotdermot wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 9:41 pmSo I take it, by all these comments about ALK and the fact that they have said ‘no comment’ on the subject of flipping shares to pay off Garlick, that we have been well and truly taken to the cleaners. Boden has mentioned that the club could potentially go back to Garlick if instalment are not met. No idea about the legal terms around that or if it’s even true.

Of course people being "worried" about the transfer window etc isn't at all comparable to the risk of having a sick loved one, being made redundant etc.
Re: January Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Unless Garlick brings back the 60million that effectively paid him out, back to the club with him, then the position for him is now unattenable. He can absolutely do one!Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 9:46 pmIt might not be that critical but certainly puts the club in a precarious position if the next instalment is not paid.

This.boyyanno wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 8:04 pmDefinitely not our worst transfer window ever, but one of the most disappointing.
The club, the CEO and the new owners all raised expectations for this window, so it's natural that the fans expected us to do buisness. The big slap in the face is to find out that there was a nice little kitty tucked away which the club has used to effectively buy itself. That money could have been better spent throughout the last 5 years and would have surely made the re-build job easier than it will be now. I think those suggesting fans should be anything other than disappointed are not being very fair.
