So, just to make sure I haven't misunderstood you..... You are now saying, that we have a sport science / fitness teams at the club? You don't know how many people are employed dealing with those areas? But you know they won't be as big, or as good as Man City or Spurs....Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:17 amIt just wasn’t a detailed response highlighting quite frankly the back end of a fart, I don’t know the exact numbers of employees dealing with the fitness side of things, why would I? I’m a fan supporter of the club I’m not engaged working for the club.

Yes of course to a certain degree feel free to quote me when I’ve stated otherwise, but certainly not to the degree or level of the Man City or spurs, you appear to be mesmerised by these documentaries to the extent of being convinced exactly the same happens here that you’ve watched on television.Grumps wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:24 amSo, just to make sure I haven't misunderstood you..... They can't though, I'm going to assume you don't understand Tachographs at this point.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:08 amI know that, but despite this due to tight schedules & unforeseen delays & circumstances it’s not unheard of drivers skipping certain legal requirements in order to meet targets & unfortunately a perfect storm can exist thus resulting in tragic accidents.
Each driver has a card that they have to insert into the machine, that information is then downloaded by their company and sent to Vosa.
Any irregularities can and does lead to fines, suspension of licence and worse.
Re: Is it just me
I only mentioned the TV shows because, one poster didn't believe managers spoke to those depts, and you suggested they didn't even exist and an easy way for both of you to educate yourselves would be to watch those programsJakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:30 amYes of course to a certain degree feel free to quote me when I’ve stated otherwise, but certainly not to the degree or level of the Man City or spurs, you appear to be mesmerised by these documentaries to the extent of being convinced exactly the same happens here that you’ve watched on television.
I actually know they exist at Burnley because I've seen them at work so I don't need to rely on tv shows

Yes of course it can regarding the punishments it doesn’t stop it happening though, unfortunately we don’t live in a perfect world. If it didn’t happen the industry wouldn’t be regulated & we would have less accidents on the roads, nearly every week you seem to pick the newspaper up & learn about accidents. You are assuming everybody is compliant regarding the tachographs & the law.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:34 amThey can't though, I'm going to assume you don't understand Tachographs at this point.

Thanks for the advice I should stop being so naive & simply believe the television documentaries even to the extent of being convinced the same happens here then I’d fit in more, have a good day.Grumps wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:35 amI only mentioned the TV shows because, one poster didn't believe managers spoke to those depts, and you suggested they didn't even exist and an easy way for both of you to educate yourselves would be to watch those programs

Any who break the laws are in a very small minority.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:47 amYes of course it can regarding the punishments it doesn’t stop it happening though, unfortunately we don’t live in a perfect world. Drivers are tested regularly and can't drive if they fail etc.
Medicals are also compulsory.
Amusing when people complain about the lorry drivers when they're amongst the most checked and regulated in the UK, yet I often see people driving an suv, Audi Q8 or BMW X7 for example, that's far to big for them and they're clearly incapable of driving it safely or parking it properly.

I think you are making things up , so show the post on this thread where any poster said they didn’t believe managers spoke to the sports scientists at the clubGrumps wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:35 amI only mentioned the TV shows because, one poster didn't believe managers spoke to those depts, and you suggested they didn't even exist and an easy way for both of you to educate yourselves would be to watch those programs

There’s nothing in my quote to support what you have just posted . You simply make things up and post out of context

Re: Is it just me
That was my last response to you yesterday
Re: Is it just me
Iam not sure what's been posted out of context
Around the discussion at the time I took your comments to suggest you didn't think Mr Dyche had spoken with his sports scientists prior to Tuesdays team selection
Perhaps I was mistaken in my assumption, but you were given numerous opportunities to correct me, instead you tried to be clever, or in your words tried the intellectual approach, but just rambled on about somebody walking through the woods and taking wrong turns, when in fact a simple yes or no would have righted the argument
I appreciate you think you are on a higher intellectual level than me so ill leave you to it at this point.
Enjoy the game.

Anyone else struggling to follow Jakub's argument here?
On one hand he's stating (quite correctly for once) that drivers suffer fatigue and need rest but also claims that humans can condition themselves to live on three hours sleep and that footballers don't need to rest.
