Re: Brighton v Palace
Best result for us. Palace get their tails up before facing Fulham and there’s still a gap between Brighton and ourselves.

Good old Brighton, a million chances and they lose. Should give Palace confidence going into game against Fulham.

I don't think Brighton have a particularly easy run in, just like everybody else some easy, some hard games.DomBFC1882 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 9:57 pmBrighton do have a nice run in though in comparison to ours and Fulham's. Not looked at Newcastles

Re: Brighton v Palace
Talk about a smash and grab operation.
The weekend is looking up with Brighton & Newcastle both losing, softens the blow of dropping 2 points on Saturday a little bit.
And crucially this result shows Palace can win without Zaha, same again please on Sunday lads.
And we're still 15th at least until the weekend anyway.

Re: Brighton v Palace
That was the worst officiated match I’ve seen in a long time. Brighton using body weight on CP players at every opportunity. Many were legal but far too many were pushes that they got away with.
Friend then gave Brighton a FK for a foul by Milojevic, where he never touched the opponent, a throw in, at the death, where it clearly came off Burn andfinally didn’t send Burn offfor a deliberate handball after he’d already been booked.
The worst decision of all was giving a corner from the photo below. How far out is that ball? And look at the lino’s position, perfect.

Some on here probably think Brighton won because their stats were better than Palaces ...duncandisorderly wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 9:55 pm75% possession

Re: Brighton v Palace
If Brighton had a goalscorer they would be pushing for European places, they have battered some teams this season but not scoring the chances.
Past 4 home games they have had 83 attempts at goal and scored twice.

Re: Brighton v Palace
I’m sorry but that statement is b0ll 0x. According to soccertats website Brighton have a tougher run in than both Fulham and ours. This is based on the PPG of the teams each team has left to play. In fact Brighton have the hardest run in of everyone below Chelsea in the table. Newcastle have the easiest run in for teams in the bottom half.DomBFC1882 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 9:57 pmBrighton do have a nice run in though in comparison to ours and Fulham's. Re: Brighton v Palace
This has been Brighton's problem all season, and if they don't find a solution it could yet cost them their PL place.claretburns wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:06 pmIf Brighton had a goalscorer they would be pushing for European places, they have battered some teams this season but not scoring the chances.

Maupay is their top scorer with 7, and the rest only have a couple each between them, it's one thing having the ball, but if you can't take your chances it'll always come back to bite you on the backside.

Re: Brighton v Palace
The best thing about all this is that Brighton don’t have a bad team but by the looks of things they are going to make their horrible fans go into meltdown , something to behold.
Until we are mathematically safe , which I will refer to as MS from now on , I will try my best to refrain from emotions of happiness.

Similar distance as Swansea / Cardiff and as big a rivalry. Amazes how little some of the soccer fans on here know about the game outside of little old Burnley

To be fair, you've made that up.
Has anybody actually said that stats are more - or less - important than goals scored - which, incidentally, is a stat or is this just your interpretation ?

It's not "bolox" as you put it, it is in fact better than ours and Fulham's and I would swap in a heartbeat. I agree on Newcastle thoughHibsclaret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:17 pmI’m sorry but that statement is b0ll 0x. Re: Brighton v Palace
Take out the Sheffield United game away on the last game and the Newcastle game at home, then the rest are tough although as I've said I think we'll stay up.

When you're near the bottom all games are hard!Conroysleftfoot wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:00 pmI don't think Brighton have a particularly easy run in, just like everybody else some easy, some hard games.
Re: Brighton v Palace
Brightons goal is as simple as ours, 4th from bottom or better season in, season out. After watching our last 2 home games particularly Saturday I know which teams football I would rather pay and watch !!!!!!!tiger76 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:24 pmThis has been Brighton's problem all season, and if they don't find a solution it could yet cost them their PL place.

Re: Brighton v Palace
So it is fact when they have to play teams with an average points per game higher than we do. I’m sorry but you can have an opinion but the facts are that they still have to play teams with more points per game than we have to. That is a fact.DomBFC1882 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 11:01 pmIt's not "bolox" as you put it, it is in fact better than ours and Fulham's and I would swap in a heartbeat. I agree on Newcastle though
Brighton have to play all the top 7 apart from the one out of form (Liverpool) so how on earth you can think that’s a better run in than ours is beyond me. Perhaps you just want to create controversy by posting nonsense.
