Tonight's football
Tonight's football
Hate wanting DL to do well but pragmatism is the watchword. Bamford - who else? - puts them ahea v Southampton.
Re: Tonight's football
Leeds fans didn't rate him at all, shows what a difference empty stadiums have made to PB.
Re: Tonight's football
If it stays liker this it'll be 1 point from the last 8 matches for Southampton

Southampton on one helluva poor run. Long may it continue.
Re: Tonight's football
2-0. Looking like game over.
Re: Tonight's football
Well if Leeds win, the more the merrier! Southampton goal difference with us now.
Dropping like a stone!
Pitch remains dangerous to a footballer.

Bristol City 3-0 to the good at Boro, a goal and an assist for Nakhi Wells.
Bristol Rovers 0-0 at the break against Wigan.
And Stanley 1 down at Crewe.

Re: Tonight's football
Brizzle lost 7 in a row before tonight, appointed Pearson yesterday.
Can't wait to see my smoggy mate at work in the morning.
When you look at the chances Saints could have been well ahead before Leeds scored. I still think they will struggle next season, because their defence just isn't good enough. They either win 3-0, or lose 3-0. It's exciting for the neutrals, but I fail to see the fascination with Bielsa. He has plan A, and....that's it. A really good manager, would be working on that defence. Next season, when teams have worked them out will be a different story.

Re: Tonight's football
Bayern 4-0 ahead at Lazio, and it's only just past HT, they're in frightening form again, and the team to beat for me.
Defeats for Bristol Rovers & Stanley, but Shrewsbury won 4-2 which will hopefully perk Steve Cotterill up.
Rovers sitting in 14th as it stands. And only 9 points above the drop zone, surely they won't take the tumble will they?

Much earlier. 1 win in 13 in PL and that was the very poor Liverpool team.

Re: Tonight's football
Southampton in severe danger of doing a Carlisle, top of the league to relegation fodder, I thought they'd be ok given the points they already have on board, however it's a shocking run, and they just can't seem to turn it around, and with all the bottom sides improving they could easily get sucked in.

Re: Tonight's football
Welcome to your new job Joey, Wigan scored a 95th minute winner in his 1st game in charge.
Even more drama at the Morecambe-Salford game, The Shrimps scored in the 94th and 96th minute to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Make that 0-2. Nob Enders and QPR playing each other in a draw, currently, have both gone above them. 15th and falling.
Edit. 1-2. Pulled one back whilst I was typing.

Re: Tonight's football
This season, their last 4 games are Sheff W, Huddersfield, Rotherham and Birmingham, I feared with those as last 4, anywhere near top 6 and they'd get in, however Tony has managed to wreck any talks of Promotion with 4 losses in a row, soon to be 5
They also have a clutch of 3 home games in a row coming up in March, I expect them to be the definition of mid table.
Flat track bullies that struggle if they dont get a penalty ( 7 so far this season ) or an opposition player sent off ( 4 so far this season )

3-1 to the Hornets surely game over now, and this will be 5 defeats on the spin for our dear neighbours.

Re: Tonight's football
All over at Deadwood another pointless exercise for Rovers, Richard Osman would be proud of them this month.
Big win for Cardiff at Bournemouth, and they climb above their hosts and into the play-off slots.
Rovers meanwhile have slumped to 15th, such a pity their promotion campaign has hit the buffers again.

Leicester behind to Slavia Prague and heading out as it stands, they need 2 goals in the remaining 35 minutes.

Re: Tonight's football
Strictly true however Man Utd did get turfed out of the CL before parachuting into the EL.
You do have to wonder whether fighting on so many fronts will catch up with Leicester in the closing weeks of the season.
Re: Tonight's football
We could do a lot worse than having a look at some of those Slavia Prague lads. Seem to be a decent young side, West Ham did well picking up Soucek and Coufal and both have proven to be bargains.
