Tammy Abraham
Apparently he is available this summer. Tuchel doesn’t seem to think he is part of there future plans.
Would you be interested in Burnley taking him and could we afford him.
Rumoured to have wages of 40k a week.

Id be astonished if he's willing to take £40k a week if and when he moves

He will probably be Vardy’s replacement.
Re: Tammy Abraham
We won't be in the running, not a chance, unless the new directors are prepared to invest, and from what AP is saying it does not look likely. We will spend the money we get from Tarky , Gibson any any other sales if we're lucky. I really hope I'm wrong and if we survive AP & Co smell the coffee and do what's required

Re: Tammy Abraham
West Ham were being linked to him earlier in the week
Re: Tammy Abraham
I’ve never really “got” him, to be honest. Looks quite cumbersome and leggy.
Wouldn’t be my first choice as I’d prefer forwards who a little more nimble, but I realise beggars aren’t choosers. Not that we would afford him, mind.

23 year old, tall strong & mobile, 74 league goals in 165 games including 21 in 54 for Chelsea in the last two seasons and people think we have a chance of signing him.
Dare to dream cos if we got him that would be one hell of a coup

Can see him maybe at Villa-he did well for them in the year they got promoted. THey have enough cash to have him on the bench and to provide competition for Watkins
He would be a good assett for us having said that

Yes I'd definitely have him, but it's not going to happen. Once another club shows an interest it almost puts us out of the running.

Hes shite and completely overrated. Poor in the air and not much better on the ground with a poor first touch
Like Hudson-Odyi a media darling hyped way beyond his actual talent
Tuchel seems a good judge of a player not taken in by alleged reputations.

I can't help but fear, that if you're judging Tammy Abraham, a young, pretty much 1 goal per 2 league games striker, as Shite, then there's going to be very little joy for you in any future Burnley signing, the vast majority of whim will be below his ability level.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 2:18 pmHes shite and completely overrated. Re: Tammy Abraham
I’d love to have him here, these are the exact calibre of targets we should be looking to attract & if need be going toe to toe with other rival clubs ensuring the signatures are secured.
Re: Tammy Abraham
TBH I think Lampard keeping selecting Abraham contributed to him losing his job. Yes he isn’t shite but he is awkward and gangly and misses far too many chances and is far from the finished article. Doubtful if he would come up North anyway after bright lights of London. Villa was far enough up north for him. West Ham, Palace, Fulham type of signing.dandeclaret wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 2:23 pmI can't help but fear, that if you're judging Tammy Abraham, a young, pretty much 1 goal per 2 league games striker, as Shite, then there's going to be very little joy for you in any future Burnley signing, the vast majority of whim will be below his ability level.

Re: Tammy Abraham
Not for me thanks... never rated him that highly. If we were championship, yeah go on then let’s have a look at him. £25k a week...
Loads of hype... not much else to my eyes. Only thing he has on his side at this level is youth.

Re: Tammy Abraham
It’s alright having a 1 in 2 record when you’re grabbing the vital goal in games against other top teams.
The simple fact is, he doesn’t. He scores against lower teams in 2/3/4 goal wins. The only vital goal he’s scored is vs Barnsley in the cup.
That’s fine if your at a lower team but top teams need match winners, too teams need forwards to score goals to win leagues and trophies. He’s far from that.
For us he’d be great, but not good enough for Chelsea.

I wouldn't pick him for Chelsea who have access to world class talent but he would be alright here, if he learnt how to play our way.
Tuchel does seem to be leaving all the English lads out though.

He comes across as articulate, very grounded and humble.
As much as I think he fits the Dyche profile, surely he will go to a Club with more chance of honours.

Re: Tammy Abraham
Would he fit in with the current way we play or would we adapt to him? What does he do when we haven't got the ball? This latter question is important because we mostly don't have possession in games unlike Chelsea.
I think the answer is 'no' in both cases, therefore he wouldn't be suitable.

Just a London player with a London mindset.

Ah yes, those loan spells in Bristol, Swansea, and Birmingham. Which part of London are those in?

I'd be surprised if we spent half of the proceeds of the McNeil/Pope/Tarks sales on new players.
There's a whole new bunch of mouths to feed now..all of whom have a prior call on it.

Re: Tammy Abraham
I'd have Abraham here in a heartbeat, but the reality is 1) we can't afford his wages, 2) he's not going to be interested in moving to a team fighting relegation.
If he moves this summer he'll likely end up at somewhere such as Leicester or West Ham.

Re: Tammy Abraham
He's ok, but they aren't letting him go from Chelsea for no reason. He was absolutely awful when he played against us for Swansea?? on loan and he has loads of games now where he looks totally overhyped. Yes he'll score a few in that Chelsea side, but then again so might I with those players providing for me, but no way would he be up for constantly chasing balls like Rex the sheep dog on a cold, wet night at the Turf. Move on.

Re: Tammy Abraham
I don't have in depth knowledge of Chelsea but early impressions are that Tuchel has reverted to the tried and trusted Mourinho/Conte blueprint for success that would have difficulty in accommodating the more expansive style favouring Abraham's game
Whilst there's no way he's coming here if the likes of West Ham and Villa are interested I'd bracket some of these comments writing him off along with those who stated that Barkley and Lingard would not fit our system/were not good enough/were not a 'Dyche type' player

Re: Tammy Abraham
Coincidentally some of the comments regarding the Barkley & lingard suggestions as unsuitable, some of the similar comments were absolutely creaming when drinkwater arrived & he was the bees knees, so it’s wise to take some comments with a pinch of salt regarding some people’s opinions on future player suggestions.EarbyClaret wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 11:59 pmI don't have in depth knowledge of Chelsea but early impressions are that Tuchel has reverted to the tried and trusted Mourinho/Conte blueprint for success that would have difficulty in accommodating the more expansive style favouring Abraham's game

the typical delusional Burnley signing thread, where people on here pretend good players aren't good enough for us. Barkley is levels above anything we have and some on here said he's not good enough for us.
Abraham probably has more goals than our entire forward line combined this season but he isn't good enough for us? aye alright then experts

Re: Tammy Abraham
I’ll tell you what or who are delusional, people who post that players like Tammy Abraham are out of favour at their club and that he would be good for us. Deli Ali is out of favour at Spurs, what about him? We should be discussing young prospects or journeymen in the Championship because that is what we will be signing in the close season.KRBFC wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 12:19 amthe typical delusional Burnley signing thread, where people on here pretend good players aren't good enough for us. Re: Tammy Abraham
Was Barkley good enough?
In theory yes, but he'd spent time at Chelsea not doing a great sodding deal, so was always a high risk which we couldn't afford.
That was the general consensus amongst his detractors, his ability wasn't doubted, it was his commitment etc.
Naturally this has been twisted around by some to try and belittle others which is not unsurprising really.
Abraham is more than good enough, but well above our station.

Re: Tammy Abraham
Not really.
He'd done very little at Chelsea, he has talent, but seemingly lacked the work ethic to go with it.
Hardly anyone said he wasn't good enough for us, but as per there are people on here who want to look superior over this.
Barkley scored 4 league goals at Chelsea, in 52 appearances...
Mainly used as a sub but there was no guarantee he'd be more productive elsewhere.
He's proven his doubters in the football world wrong at Villa and good on him.

Re: Tammy Abraham
It seems to be a popular ideology to recognise & acknowledge what other players have done elsewhere & transfer that over here as if the same will happen, not taking into consideration that the said players were surrounded by better players & not afforded the same opportunities there would get here, but like for like comparisons are real life, it’s a very peculiar way of measuring what somebody could potentially achieve.
Re: Tammy Abraham
Yeah I wasn't saying they were directly comparable right this minute - just that they were both over-rated. Welbeck was hugely over rated when he was at United.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 11:12 pmCrucially the distinct difference about 7 years of age which is huge in terms of being a footballer, 1s pre peak 1s post peak so me personally I wouldn’t class them as the same.
