2 hours 40 minutes ? Is it all with him
Re: Interview with Matt Williams - Chief Operating Officer at BFC
Yes, it is but the first 15 minutes or so are very interesting, about the new owners, Sean etc.

Five minutes with Matt Williams is more than enough.
And I don't mean that, Matt's a top, top bloke who I have got to know really well in the five years he's been at Burnley.

Nice little listen, first 15 mins confirmed what some will have already have known, understood and voiced their concerns/opinions on.
Least it seems they're acting on them now, and it's nice to hear there's a plan and vision in place.
Will listen to the rest later, as he seemed to go of on a tangent about Matthew Tipton.

Having been a fan of the club for 60 years I feel embarrassed in saying I have never heard of him. At first I thought he was a new person following the take-over. Whats his key role ??

Matt came in during the 2015/16 season. Not sure what his title was then but he was Dave Baldwin's number two. His role changed to Chief Operating Officer when Hart replaced Dave last year. He's sort of explained his role early in the interview, he's been more involved with the players in the last year and based at Gawthorpe more than the club.warksclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 11:19 amHaving been a fan of the club for 60 years I feel embarrassed in saying I have never heard of him. Matt is very much a football man, well sort of, he is an Oldham fan.
Been a great help to me over the last five years, I have so much time for him.

Glad he is a football man and as Tony speaks highly of him he must have the Clarets at heart.
Re: Interview with Matt Williams - Chief Operating Officer at BFC
Interesting that he's very positive about the input from Mike Rigg.

I had a static Caravan in the Western Lakes for about 10 years and one of my neighbours was from Shaw near Oldham. He knew I was a Burnley supporter as were a number of people up there. He stopped me one day and said that someone he knew very well was going to Burnley. It was Matt Williams and he said what a sound bloke he was.Matt had a rugby background and my friend and Matt had been involved in Rugby once upon a time.He told me if i ever met him to tell him ‘Crazy Horse’sends his regards.

Hi Jimscho, how are you? I'm still living up here in the frozen north of Haverigg. UTC.
Re: Interview with Matt Williams - Chief Operating Officer at BFC
Really good listen, he's got some really good stories to tell.
Seems he's worked in all sorts of environments with many characters good and bad.
There's been a lot of good communication coming out of the club regards a bright future, hopefully we will start to see some of that bearing fruit over the next season or so.
