Why does Brownhill keep taking free kicks? He’s never been close with any so far.

Thought Gudmundsson deserved to take it.

Wonder if Dyche is so smug about people's opinion on Vydra now he's scoring?
Most people know that you don't get long to prove yourself in our team, especially where there are other longstanding proven players wanting to start who have built trust in them.

It is also therefore no surprise that given the lack of pressure on the shirt and a bit of time to get consecutive games under the belt we are now seeing a partnership that is producing goals. We have seen other players come in and get better with more game time.

It has been clear to me, even when he wasn't playing regularly, that he added a different dimension to us. He creates space and opportunities and I'm really pleased and relieved that Wood and Vydra are now getting into a rhythm of scoring.

Don't see any need for calling others smug. They were simply saying what they saw and from what we saw up to recently is that he didn't produce as much as we would like.

Brownhill must be brilliant in training to keep getting the free kicks.

Shelvey is in a different class to the rest of their team. Perfect deep laying playmaker.

Murphy their right back is having a decent game. Made a few recoveries from Dwight.

Surely it would've been an indirect freekick anyway, not a pen.

The only argument is that it was dangerous, Tarkowski got the ball and it was high. But Geordie dropped his head into Tarks boot for me

So funny when the penalty wasn't given, as he was willing it to be one!

Got to smash it low & hard there, hope it gets a deflection. Total waste, skying it like that.

I’d have been ****** off if we’d not got a penalty for that. Tarkowski had to go for it but his foot was up at head height.

And dangerous play is an indirect freekick, not direct and therefore not a pen in the area.

Quite contrary. Often complimentary of us. Was saying earlier how he likes we play early crosses to our strikers.

Not lucky at all with the "pen"

If you aren't allowed to defend in your box you may as well get rid of defenders!

Anybody who thinks it was a pen against Tarkowski is either a commentator or pundit wanting some more action, or someone who has never played football.

Westwood and Gudmundsson have stood out for me today, best JBG has played for a long while IMO. We look very strong all over the pitch with Vydra and Wood very, very threatening.

Great performance but they will get stronger with Wilson and ASM to come on. We need to keep the pressure on.
