The match report doesn't really match up with the tantrums on here following the defeat. Then again neither did the match itself with some of the comments.

Sometimes you start to think you have watched a different game than those commenting on here at full time, we have played far worse this season and took points.

The report is just my opinion but I agree with you on the comments on the board. I reacted last night to a post that said we'd been outplayed in the last two games and I believe that to be nonsense. We got caught in that five minutes yesterday but we should have been winners by then, we should have had a bigger lead. Over the 90 minutes we were better than Newcastle.

A very fair report, Dubravka saved them and it was Longstaff who was the recipient of Tarkowski’s boot.

To say we are not in a worse position than before the weekend is incorrect. We are in the same position with Fulham but we are 3 points worse off with Newcastle and Brighton and West Brom are still to play today Our game at Fulham could still prove to be pivotal in our survival bid

Before this round of games we were 7 points above the last relegation spot with the opposition having 7 games left.

Now we are 7 points above the last relegation spot with the opposition having 6 games left. If anything our position improved.

Fair and balanced report as normal CT, we could and should have killed the game off in the first 60 minutes, and the fact we didn't came back to bite us alas.

The good news Vydra/Wood look a long term partnership, BPF was steady enough when called upon, and congrats to Jay Rod on the new arrival when it comes.

The bad news we just can't handle ASM for whatever reason, he was the difference at SJP, and he totally transformed the game yesterday within minutes of his introduction.

Disappointing to blow a lead again, but thankfully it shouldn't be too damaging, Fulham can't string any results together thank goodness, and that's what will allow us to seal another year at this level in the next few games, just 1 more win should be more than enough, however it would be nice to confirm that ASAP, I'd rather not have to bite my nails in the last 2/3 games of the campaign if we can avoid that dreaded scenario.

On our home form what's killing us is all these draws, turn 3/4 of those into victories and we'd be comfortably mid-table, but we're by no means the only side to be struggling to rack up wins on home turf, and it clearly must be the absence of fans playing a major part, touch wood next season will see a return to normality. and a marked upturn in home form for us, that's been the bedrock of our survival in previous seasons, however it's positive that we're looking like surviving comfortably despite the lack of wins at TM.

Had Vydra as my man of the match at half time. He does appear to fade in games and he's not the strongest, but playing so well at the minute and needing to with no other forward options.

Just could not understand why Cork wasn't given some minutes in the second half instead of the usual 90th min sub (Mumbongo).

That substitution was made with nothing in mind other than last minute panic to try and get a goal

JBG had been struggling to make any impression in the second half and thought Cork should have been brought on for him a lot earlier

Brownhill could then have switched to WR or even swapping with Dwight help cover ASM

Well TBF to Vydra he's been playing well for quite a while now, however what's changed is he's now adding goals and assists to his game, that's the big difference he's now impacting on matches in a meaningful way, and even if Ash and Jay were available neither can make a claim to replace MV, and even if we only get a hour of him at this level if he's having a huge say in a game then we can't complain. That said it would be nice to have some options even from the bench to change things up front if needed.

Totally agree with that but he tires and could do with replacing in the last quarter of the game but not with Mumbongo.

No I'm afraid Mumbongo doesn't look anywhere near PL standard.
