Looked busy last night when I drove past. Plenty of people sat in the beer garden

Quick look shows Burnley at 8/1 for the drop.

I would invite all those who are not convinced to post copies of their betting slips.

£50 would cover the cost of next years season ticket!!
Only two weeks ago we were 38/1 on Betfair I was tempted to put a tenner on but thought I'm throwing a tenner away and wouldn't even compensate me if we did happen to go down

All relegation odds here:

Bottom 3 all still odds on for the drop, and the bookies don't often get it wrong do they. What's perhaps more surprising is we're still longer odds than Newcastle to tumble, and that's despite their win at the weekend.

Might be to do with Toons "belter" of a remaining fixture list 😏

Yes I've no doubt that'll be a factor, which is why that win on Sunday was absolutely vital for them, crikey! I've just viewed their next 5 and I see what you mean, with that run-in they could still be sweating in their final 2 games Sheff Utd & Fulham, it's hard to see many points for them from West Ham, Liverpool, Arsenal? depends which Arsenal turns up on the day, Leicester or City although City might already have wrapped the title up by then.

Having said that, a fully fit Maximin can be a potential match winner for them against any opponent.

He can but I wonder how fit he really is, and I suspect that if Newcastle hadn't desperately needed the points, he may not have returned to the fold quite so soon, but Steve Bruce had no option in the circumstances but to take a calculated risk on ASM and Callum Wilson, and luckily for him the gamble paid off.

Didn't someone post we were 20/1+ after Fulham's loss and prior to the Newcastle game?

If Fulham win their 'winnable' games against us, Southampton and Newcastle they would be on 36 points. Can Brighton really fail to pick up 2 points from Leeds, Wolves, West Ham and Arsenal?

It's done, I reckon.
Brighton, Southampton and the play off winner for relegation next season.

Interesting how having points on the board trumps "maybe" every time...

How do you know? They haven't told us how much it is yet!
[Edit] I didn't spot that your post was 3 weeks old. Still applies about not knowing what it costs, though.

The bottom 3 are toast, as for making a prediction for next season I'll wait and see who does what transfer activity first before committing to an opinion, and you're a brave person to stick your neck on the line, so you think both Norwich & Watford will stay up then, that's going against what most people would think, but you might be proved right.

For anyone still harbouring thoughts that we could be relegated, put £20 on our relegation. A £1000 return would soften the blow.

Well in theory we could be relegated, but in reality the chances are so slim it's not even worth considering, hence the crazy odds the bookies are giving.

I don't gamble, but if I did I wouldn't be wasting £20 betting on our demise, because it's £20 I wouldn't see again.

I presume Newcastle are on 25/1 as opposed to us (50/1) because they have Leicester & Man City in their next two games.

However, they've shown real fight in recent games (like us as Wolves).

West brom need to win all four... Fulham need 3 wins, and most likely a draw as well, be mad betting on anyone else being relegated

At least one of the semi established teams (Brighton, Southampton, Palace, Newcastle or us) will be relegated - just like Stoke were, Watford and Bournemouth had had 5 years or so spells and so on.

There's no reason why Norwich and Watford can't stay up, or Bournemouth if they come up, but if any other side wins the play offs then I think they'll go down.

If I was a neutral I'd be sticking a cheeky tenner on us to go down next year, but as I'm not neutral I'm going to stick it on Brighton instead.

We'll certainly be in the mix, especially if we don't strengthen this summer, we've got away with our lack of investment this season due to the bottom 3 being so laboured, but we can't keep relying on that each season, we need to take positive action in the market, so down to Pace & co to show whether they can truly deliver when it counts.

This year included, we've been in a relegation scrap for three out of the five seasons, so whether we strengthen or not we are always likely to be fighting against the drop, as are many clubs in the PL.

Yes! but if we can get 2/3 quality signings in then that could make all the difference, we're no mugs at this level, but we do lack that little bit of quality at times, and we've been heavily reliant on the core group of 15/16 players for a few seasons now, and eventually this will catch up with us if we don't freshen up the squad, plus for all their battling qualities our squad isn't getting any younger, and it has shown at times this season when we've looked leggy, or struggled to fill the bench with adequate replacements.
