That's aged well.. trying to put some fear into the opposition by reminding them they have to get something against Middlesbrough

Like lots of us I remember this well. At the time KK got a lock of stick and questioning from fans and media with the general consensus being he had lost it.
Personally I found it refreshing and a great display of passion and most of all honestly. At that time managers and politicians lied to fans and manipulated the media almost to the point of taking the p..s even more than they do now.

Fergie was well known for calling players cheats, hence why Keegan got so upset, even though Fergie wasn't exactly well known for his honesty and integrity.

The media did everything they could to trash Keegan for social poker types to gloat at the expense of an entertainer.
I think Keegan may be autistic perhaps as well, so vulnerable to being honest and natural in his sentiments.

Still glad when they lost, mind...
The signing of Asprilla lost them it, showboating to the finish.
Good call but not the right answer.
Always hated Keegan, I never shouted Keegan for England when Fulham came.

Always liked Keegan but I think Ferguson had him wound up like a toy that night.

I loved it at the time, as a youngster, but reflecting on it now, it just goes to show how much he'd been gotten to.
Was voted the greatest moment on Sky Sports or something like that a few year ago I think (?)
Even if he did lose it, still a great watch to this day.

Wonder how often Fergies played it and had a chuckle over the years. .
