Rod Stewart wants Dyche as Celtic Manager
Just seen him interviewed on SSN by Jim White, couldn't believe what I was hearing, mentioned Eddie as well.

I have no reason to believe Dyche would go to that dirty old town.

Saw him in concert at the Manchester arena about seven or eight years ago listened to two tracks and then departed to the bar for the rest of the night...wife wasnt pleased but couldnt listen to that Cockney crooner for another minute....been photographed wearing both Celtic & Rangers coloursi wouldnt pay much interest into someone who thinks hes Scottish....thinks he can sing....and is unsure which one of the Old Firm he supports!

Re: Rod Stewart wants Dyche as Celtic Manager
Well! after that shambolic Old Firm display yesterday by Celtic they'll be lucky to attract any decent managers, let alone a long serving PL manager who's doing a tremendous job at his current employers, even Eddie Howe who's out of work right now appears to have turned up his nose towards their advances, and I can't say I blame him TBH, they are a club who need a radical overhaul, and whoever takes the reins at Parkhead it's not going to be a quick fix, unfortunately the rabid Celtic fans rarely give managers time to implement their ideas, and if you don't achieve instant success they'll be howling for your head, of course it doesn't help that Rangers are now resurgent, and as good a job as Brendan Rodgers did during his Celtic tenure, he was incredibly fortunate that he got the Celtic position at a time when Rangers were still in the process of rebuilding themselves, and like any manager he was wise enough to exit at the right time.

A radical overhaul? Is that not a bit extreme? Surely things can’t be that bad up there. I thought they’d won about 10 trebles in a row or something stupid until this season?tiger76 wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 2:42 pmWell! after that shambolic Old Firm display yesterday by Celtic they'll be lucky to attract any decent managers, let alone a long serving PL manager who's doing a tremendous job at his current employers, even Eddie Howe who's out of work right now appears to have turned up his nose towards their advances, and I can't say I blame him TBH, they are a club who need a radical overhaul, and whoever takes the reins at Parkhead it's not going to be a quick fix, unfortunately the rabid Celtic fans rarely give managers time to implement their ideas, and if you don't achieve instant success they'll be howling for your head, of course it doesn't help that Rangers are now resurgent, and as good a job as Brendan Rodgers did during his Celtic tenure, he was incredibly fortunate that he got the Celtic position at a time when Rangers were still in the process of rebuilding themselves, and like any manager he was wise enough to exit at the right time.

Re: Rod Stewart wants Dyche as Celtic Manager
Rumour mill up here is that up to 14 senior players could leave, Scott Brown has already gone, he's joining Aberdeen in a few weeks, and they also have some loan players who may well return to their parent clubs, also Celtic have recently appointed a new chief executive, which suggests to me they might well be pursuing a change of strategy in their transfer dealings.djemba-djemba wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 2:56 pmA radical overhaul? Yes they had won 12 trophies on the spin, however you have to factor in that they had no serious challengers for most of that period including Rangers, and it's only in the last season or two that Rangers have finally got themselves into contention, and as a result Celtic have simply folded, not helped by some poor transfers conducted by Neil Lennon last summer, they brought in that Greek keeper for £5m+ and he's barely featured, Shane Duffy was brought in from Brighton on loan on big wages 40k a week apparently, and he's proved an expensive flop.
And like everybody else Celtic have been impacted by covid, that coupled with poor European results has led to a major drop in their finances, and I suspect they'll be looking to sell a couple of big hitters this summer simply to balance the books, Édouard is already being strongly linked to both Arsenal and Liverpool for instance, and I'll be surprised if he's still a Celtic player come the onset of next season, and he'll be a tough act to replace.
