Get a replay of the tackle on Taylor in the second half when i think the ref bottled it.
He allowed play to continue so he didn't have to make a decision, i think it was an out
of control two footed tackle that if he had stopped play was a red card. Any replays please?

Re: can someone
We could run to 10 threads if we analyse every decision Coote got wrong.
I’ll trump you with the pen Ash Westwood should have had for being assaulted after he headed the ball.

Right or wrong, why are you bothered if it benefited us?claretyke wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 5:28 pmGet a replay of the tackle on Taylor in the second half when i think the ref bottled it.

Re: can someone
Think he’s referring to a challenge on Taylor that could’ve been a red.
Westwood penalty, the disallowed goal and keeper red card were all bad decisions against us last night. Balanced by the Taylor one being a pen though. But who cares.... we’re safe
Re: can someone
Yeah, I know he's on about the Taylor challenge but it wasn't given and it benefited us, so why bother about it?

Re: can someone
That disallowed goal was shocking. They only showed one quick reply of it from a bad angle but it didn’t look like the whole of the ball was out. They usually have an angle looking right along the goal line for goal line technology but I presume sky and VAR chose to pretend that camera angle didn’t exist so they didn’t have to make a decision that went against their onfield mates. So many wrong decisions by the officials. Lucky we came out on top but seriously, what is VAR for other then ruining football?
Re: can someone
It's getting to the stage where we will need a C(checking)var to check the VAR.
Re: can someone
As long as referees continue to "police" themselves there will be no overall improvement in the standard of refereeing. It will always be protectionist. As the PL fund the PGMOL who in turn pay attractive salaries and bonuses, it is all about PL brand enhancement. Incompetence never features as it is always quickly swept under the carpet with a " move on, nothing to see here" approach. Those were the days when you looked at the back of a programme to find that the ref was also a full time police officer, prison warden, teacher or administrator. Refereeing was very much a pastime with status attached.

Re nostalgia on refs
How about Webb two yellow cards in the World Cup and no sending off . Clattenburg was another who blatantly favoured " bigger teams "
Standards have always been questionable
At present imo the Madeleys are amongst the best refs

“Getting to” long past that point within a couple of weeks of it’s inception that much was obvious, any criticism directed is duly countered about some old bol*ocks regarding teething problems & things will get better, exactly when & how doesn’t seem to be part of the makeup within the explanation.

It's coming to something when a Madeley is considered one of the best refs......Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 9:45 amRe nostalgia on refs
