The chance Vydra missed was bad however is the only player who would have been there for that chance with his touch and pace

I thought Vydra played well with the service he had and it was in fact a great save with the keepers leg outstretched there.

To be fair to Vydra I thought on a number of occasions his hold up play, when no other Burnley player was in the same postcode, was very good today

Exactly, held it up better than any of the other three and did well to create his own chance (yes he could have scored but it’s also a very good save).

Vydra 6 really can’t understand scores of 4. He was our main threat and you can hardly call the chances he had sitters. Credit must also go to the Leeds keeper for an excellent save

Based on 78 minutes. I'd had enough. This game would normally be the biggest of the season for me, however Mondays was, so it is a bit like "after the Lord Mayors show" for me and no doubt was for the players as well.
Can't wait for Wednesday though

Funny how DaveTheVicar had a pop at people here recently for scoring Lowton a point lower than others (when he didn’t even watch the game) and then goes and scored Vydra a 4 today when his average score by everyone else is actually closer to 6/7

Not a bad performance overall but, sadly, we were found lacking in the clinical areas. Strange one, I’d normally mark much lower for a scoreline like that.

Vydra never worked hard enough at first. Then he was weak on ball now he is at fault for missing a chance he created.

The coaching manual tells you he has done everything right.

Their keeper covers his front post whilst sticking his leg out to stop it going in at the back post.

Just great keeping.

Spot on . I so often find myself agreeing with CT but to say that Vydra is ‘culpable’ for what was a very good save is a bit harsh!

Excellent save, I was surprised their keeper was good, didn’t rate him that highly before today.

Had Pope made that save, it would have been described by CT as brilliant

But he gets a 4 because he supposedly makes two mistakes and that cost us the game

And nobody else made anywhere near as many errors, yet we lose 0 - 4

Apparently, also sold down the river by Tarky who has been appalling

Although I haven't checked the stats, it seems we get beaten quite regularly when Pope isn't playing, even though Peacock-Farrell doesn't make an obvious mistake for the goals. I think it may well be down to the defensive organisation that Pope does, which is a major factor in keeping us tighter at the back. Someone a while back suggested that Sheffield United's decline this season was down to Henderson not being there. I was sceptical about that at first, but it does seem that the keeper does a lot more than just save shots and is a key part of defensive organisation.

I don't think he'd have had a chance of saving it had Vyds not taken that extra touch. Dyche described it as a golden chance.

Didn't see the Vyds chance or any of the game today. At times Vyds likes to take that extra touch to come across the defender, was that the case here ?

He's done ever so well to win the ball, get past the defenders and into the box on the left hand side. I honestly believe he'd have scored had he shot but he took an extra touch which widened the angle and gave Meslier the chance to save, and it was a good save.

BPF 5 had little to do but should have done better with their last. Defence doesn't seem organised when he's in goal.
Lowton 6 decent in parts
Mee 5 some bad choices
Tarks 5 another of those games where he seemed more interested in picking a fight than playing football
Taylor 7 some good forward runs and a decent track back challenge but his final ball needs to be better, which he is capable of.
Brownhill 5 invisible
Cork 5 as above
Westwood 5 let Raphina wind him up and that took him out of the game.
McNeil 6 started well then faded badly. Needs a rest, season is effectively over so give him one!
Vydra 7 some great hold up play, some fantastic movement but he has to start being more clinical. If he was though he'd be at a top side.

Jay 4 what has happened to him? Barely looks a footballer nowadays. Poor touch constantly offside and looks disinterested
Barnes 4 doesn't even fall over for free kicks now. Would rather have seen Mumbongo and Richardson than these two.
