Today's footie 18/5
A bumper round of PL games this evening, and some vital ones to boot.
Man Utd-Fulham this is a meaningless game really for both sides, but the more interesting aspect will be how the 10,000 inside OT make their feelings towards the Glazers known.
Saints-Leeds again a meaningless game really in the grand scheme of things, but it will be interesting to see whether Leeds can repeat their goal blast from Saturday, or whether the Saints can continue their recent upturn in form.
Brighton-City a City win would be welcome for us, we should have a good chance of finishing above Brighton at the weekend.
And last but by no means least the biggie, Chelsea-Leicester and of course a quick reunion after the cup final. the Foxes should be buzzing after lifting their 1st ever FA Cup, but arguably Chelsea's need is greater.
Not forgetting the play-offs.
Oxford-Blackpool and an Oxford side containing Daniel Agyei no less, Karl Robinson is serving a 4 match ban, so he'll be absent for their entire play-off campaign.
Newport-Forest Green also has a story to tell as the Collins brothers line up on opposing sides.

Re: Today's footie 18/5
Play offs for me, sometimes get really good games.
(Hopefully better than last night)
Can't say I'm particularly fussed about the remaining PL games, unless we're playing.

Blackpool’s play off record is immense no surprise they are 2-0 up

Lee Mason will be a full time VAR official next season........UNBELIEVABLE!
Take the worst Ref and put him in a position to ruin even more games.

Donkey lashers are heading to Wembley 3-0 up after the 1st leg surely they're not going to throw that advantage away.

Your not wrong, Wilks.
Good atmosphere.
Lack of it seems to have hit us badly at home.

Deserved that, Brighton.
Good game to watch. Trossard & White were both outstanding tonight.
Great to hear a live crowd again instead of the tinned stuff.

Re: Today's footie 18/5
I believe we are the 4th/5th/6th worst team this season, other than a couple of million it doesn't matter which position we finish in and it's the same every season, once we are safe our levels drop off.

The live home crowd certainly had a big effect ---on the referee in particular!

Re: Today's footie 18/5
Yes and it looks like VAR have dropped the ball with that one, fortunately for Fulham they got a late equaliser.
What this incident once again demonstrates is how fallible VAR actually is. As if we didn't already know that anyway.
Re: Today's footie 18/5
Leicester blowing it again. Same as last season
Re: Today's footie 18/5
Was there any contact on Werner? Did they just give that one because they ballsed up the previous one?

Yes.
If Liverpool win their last two, they are likely to qualify for the Champions League

Re: Today's footie 18/5
Not quite they have silverware in their trophy cabinet, and I suspect most Leicester fans would rather have a trophy in their pocket than make the top 4.
I know if it was Burnley in that position I'd take a major trophy over 4th place every day of the week.

Why oh why do teams insist on messin around with it from goal kicks then end up conceding like chelsea just have . Just get the damn thing forward from a goal kick. Drives me up the wall!!!!!!!!

Re: Today's footie 18/5
haven’t seen it if mentioned but why is 4th position not in Leicesters hands if they lose? Doesn’t it go down to goal difference?
