Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
Well that was a shambles by the plastic Yorkies wasn't it, I'm not saying they're a one man team, but no Joe Root and they collapse like a pack of dominoes, and bear in mind this was a Lancashire attack missing James Anderson.
The one bright spark for Yorkshire was young Harry Duke, and he looks an impressive find, who I'm sure we'll hear a lot more about in the coming years.
And Lancashire's confident reply has put this score and pitch into perspective, plus don't forget Yorkshire won the toss and elected to bat which is looking a more bizarre call by the minute.
What Lancashire need to ensure tomorrow is we hammer home our advantage and rack up a big 1st innings lead, the job is by no means complete yet, and what this Yorkshire side have shown throughout the season is they will fight all the way.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
With knowing very little about the players at Yorkshire, I take it the normal bowling attack were all unavailable yesterday ?
That was a fair prolonged stint of s**t the sent down yesterday.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
Wonderful in the lunch interval to hear Bumble and Nick Knight speaking so highly of Ian Austin. When me Dad gave up driving he would travel to Hassy away Lancs League games with his parents and God help you if you said he was over-weight. I’ve heard him give half an hour on his fitness stats and at what level he played football.

Is Livingstone a red ball cricketer? He doesn't seem to have the patience for it.
I'm not really a fan of his full stop....he seems to believe he's much better than he actually is.

Not been able to catch any of this today.
Apart from missing that bonus point, the scoreboard looks pleasant reading.
They'll all be out doing a rain dance around their wilted white weed in Yarkyland tonight.

Lancashire 350-6 at the close, Bohannon 47 and Lamb 4.....
A lead of 191...... looks like the pot holes disappeared as soon as Yorkshire had batted.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
Perfect 2 days for Lancashire, scuttle them out cheaply on day 1, and then rack up the runs on day 2, excellent knock by Jennings again, and he's finally getting back to his best form, and the rest all provided able support.
Bat for an hour in the morning add another 50 or so and then bundle them out for a 2nd time, an innings victory could well be on the cards here.
And if the Yorkies are performing a rain dance then I'm afraid they're going to be disappointed the next 2 days are forecast to be scorchers.

Stepping up to the plate so far in your Cup Final, Yorkshire will always be the target in terms of standards.
Great to see your Saffer and the Eastbourne lad performing on the biggest of stages.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
I know you don’t like white ball chat, bodgemeister, but today’s news about Jos Buttler being available to play the opening six T20 Blast games, must’ve been like a dagger through the heart to you guys.
Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
I'd not seen that, fantastic news. Just a shame the last one is the Roses match
Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
It's all about slogging with you boys and that's where the difference lies, look at our Championship record, then compare it to yours. T20 is the easy come easy go nature of society, shame people can't appreciate proper cricket any more.
Farmers v Finesse.
David Hughes carting over midwicket in the oncoming gloom gets you boys misty eyed.
The stats says it all.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
He'd like it if they ever win one..... they were giving it large when they thought they were going to win the Blast finals, then went quiet again.
Yorkshire, failing to do what Lancashire have done forever..... Lancashire, winners of all competitions, producers of the worlds greatest ever fast bowler, an inclusive friendly club.
Yorkshire, rely on history, produced The Pie Chucker and The Barrel, inclusivity not so much.....

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
We are insanely jealous of your ability to produce 90 mph beemer bowlers like Saj.
Not sure we can compete with your fat lads like Fat Jack and Oscar.
Let's look at the proper cricket contest eh, not the hit and giggle stuff.
Look in the record books, we'll all be long dead until you go past us.
Prior to the miracle of Taunton, it was pre Harold Lloyd and Charlie Chaplin that you boys were any kind of cricket force.
