Been listening to Post Malone quite a lot...I'm 65 years of age,.....is it wrong?

There is no "shouldn't like" in music. Only your own preferences.

He's actually a really nice guy, which always helps if you like his music
Certainly hasn't been impacted by fame quite like many people of his stature do.

Never heard of him!
Re: Artist you love but really shouldn't
Post Malone is one of those artists that your parents didn’t like because of the way he looks, and in all honesty I did the same when my kids mentioned him. He is good though, and if you can bypass the daft facial tattoos (his choice I know!) then he’s enjoyable to listen to and is a talented artist

Re: Artist you love but really shouldn't
Is there anyone you really shouldn't like?
I was brought up on Ella Fitzgerald (dad) and Shirley Bassey (mum), still enjoy listening to both and have a really wide taste in music although I have to admit to not having heard of a lot of the current artists.

I always say I don't have any guilty pleasures because I don't feel guilty about them.
I like what I like and I don't give a toss if someone else thinks they're sh1te.

Genuinely curious to understand why Billie Eilish would be a guilty pleasure.
Billie Eilish and her Brother are the band and they write all their own stuff. They make genuinely innovative music which is very credible. Billie Eilish herself has largely resisted many of the clichés and trappings of a fairly unwholesome music industry.
There's much more to her than any one song could sum up but here's a link for anyone interested.

The first time I heard that song I said that has such a hook. It has been used on a couple of adverts recently.what_no_pies wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 2:41 pmGenuinely curious to understand why Billie Eilish would be a guilty pleasure.

Unless it's George Ezra. That would just be wrong if you're not twelve years old.

There's a good print of this triptych in the Kelham Island pub in Sheffield. Gotta love a good Heironymous Bosch.

Steve - do you mean Vambo the band? Or is it some other reference?
I'm predominantly a rock/metal fan but I can veer off in any direction at any given time. Eg listening to old Chris De Burgh stuff the other day. Phenomenal song writer (Obviously not Lady in Red cause that would be like sprinkling breadcrumbs on your nuts and inviting seagulls for a pic nic)
