Many of the drivers are on furlough so the money they make delivering tops up their Furlough wages and more.Top Claret wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 7:53 amNever read as much rubbish, he would be lucky to make minimum wage
Self employed courier and delivery drivers work for appitance and rarely make minimum wage, the same applies to deliveroo drivers.
Personally I average about £3k a month before taxes and running costs (take home is about £2k minimum, but I'm sure I can increase that with the right accountant)
I have every other weekend off (Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon) , along with every tuesday and Thursday evening to see my daughter plus I drop her at school those 2 days.
I know several people who earn £1k a week and more before taxes, I've seen their earnings on the apps during chats.
Most of us work for all 3 of the main food apps, Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo, usually a combination of 2 at a time, but some lads have all 3 going at the same time.
I use a car, but if I had a moped I'd make closer to £1k a week on average before taxes and costs, as mopeds get priority on the orders and are of course cheaper to run.
I don't work a regular 8-5 shift, I work breakfasts, have a break for 1-2hrs, then work lunchtime and then another break for 1-2 hours and then work teatime and finish at 9pm usually.
