Re: Today's Games
Meaning he misses the next round, not that he would have been considering that at the time.

Re: Today's Games
I do find it completely unnecessary that 2 yellow cards in the opening 4 games means you miss the QF.

Re: Today's Games
Clive Tyldesley has told viewers who didn’t want to know the score of the first game to look away now. Did they then put the score on the screen? No, Tyldesley announced it.

Re: Today's Games
French manager is clueless, Theo Hernandez was the best left back in Europe last year but the French manager doesn't even call him up and plays a central defender Kimpembe at left back instead.

Re: Today's Games
15 mins to pens, that would be a fitting way to cap off an incredible day of drama,
BTW it's nearly twenty minutes past midnight in Bucharest, So I hope none of those fans need to be up early in the morning.

Well, there you go - That will upset the know it all pundits
Re: Today's Games
You just knew Mbappe was going to miss. He’s been very average all tournament. Well done to the Swiss, they deserved to win for turning up for the whole match rather than just 30 minutes.

Re: Today's Games
That was a brilliant performance from Switzerland. Positive from the first whistle and when they looked dead and buried they got back into the game which took some real bottle. Very impressed with them. France looked an absolute powerhouse in that second half but full backs were weak and they never looked solid at the back. What an evening of football.
Re: Today's Games
Should England get through tomorrow, there is no excuse not to win it now.

Elizabeth wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 4:00 pmThe Croatia v Spain looks the harder one to predict.
I’m on a bit of a roll after predicting Belgium to beat Portugal last night ( sorry to one or two on this board who don’t think I stick my neck out enough).
I may have gone on record ( need to check it out) that Croatia are on the wane so I’m going to back my opinion up by predicting a Spanish win although I also think Spain have had their best days too.
Surely France won’t get beat by Switzerland who were 66-1 at the start of the tournament to win the whole thing. So France to beat Switzerland .
I will slightly edge my bet and predict that If Switzerland take the French to penalties they will be rolling around in delight tonight.
Sorry , just had to post this, made before today’s matches.
I’m on a roll now , 3 out of 3 with England v Germany tomorrow.
