Today's Game

Oh dear. Sitting back and letting them play...
Another poor kick from Puckford.

So this is a new experience for most of us....anyone got any tips or hints on how we are meant to feel now that England have finally reached a final, apart from shock?

Schmeichel has pulled off some great saves tonight.
Kept them in it.

At least we didn't have Emma Hayes to listen too much as a result.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 10:40 pmThe commentator spoiled extra time for me. Verbal diarrhoea.
I know the Danes have made similar substitutions when they've been winning, but what the f was he doing taking off the two players most likely to create or score a goal? They lost the game with that decision.
Poulson has been lucky, but you can't expect luck every game.
Wish damsgaard was a Claret.

We ended that game looking like we could play for another 30mins
Full marks to Southgate, his tactics and decisions during these games have been spot on

To all those that keep giving up on their own country, I hope you’re now seeing just what it means to have everyone together, no matter which club team they support!
A win on Sunday would be right up there with play off wins, winning the championship or staying in the premier league.
These moments are rarer than hens teeth and we’ve got to savour them!!

Re: Today's Game
I’ve never quite understood why he’s had so many critics on this board, people often saying Tarky is a better player, the reverse in my opinion and tonight he proved it. Him and Sterling were outstanding.
Re: Today's Game
Maguire has had an outstanding tournament to say he came into it with an injury and not playing for a month or so.

Re: Today's Game
Maguire had a fantastic second half and beyond, particularly so as he was on a yellow card. He made one fantastic must win challenge on the halfway line in the second half.

Re: Today's Game
The biggest downside to this tournament is IF we win it the PL will all jump on double pivot midfielders and 5 at the back. Boring as f**k but if we win who cares.

yeah i actually thought he might be subdued after the card but if anything he got more stuck in. a great performance.
Re: Today's Game
A lot of the PL already play 3-4-3 (if you wanna call it 5 then sure).minnieclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 11:11 pmThe biggest downside to this tournament is IF we win it the PL will all jump on double pivot midfielders and 5 at the back. Boring as f**k but if we win who cares.

Re: Today's Game
Saka did well for the goal, struggled down blind alleys in general. But will start vs Italy due to the lack of pace in their defence.
Maguire was very good, the key player for us.
Pickford dodgy, so he needs protecting.
No point quibbling over things now - one match from glory, it’s win at all costs. We have to protect our weaknesses and let our strengths surge.
