Motherwell fans' generosity

Post by Duffer_ » Thu Jul 08, 2021 8:37 pm

Motherwell: Fans pledge almost £60,000 to buy season tickets for low-income families - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57740060

Great story showcasing the power for good of a fan owned community oriented club.

Well done The Dossers - I salute you!

Glad to see a club which values it's community and local roots, well done Motherwell.

Just one query I always thought their nickname was The Steelmen.

Well given that the now demolished Ravenscraig Steelworks were located bang in the heart of the town, it should come as no surprise that there's a connection with the steel industry, I wasn't aware of the dossers nickname though I have to say, it's amazing what random facts this forum throws up at times.

People skiving on the night shift never.

‘Well are my favourite Scottish club I’ve seen them play a few times - that said thinking about it I’ve been to Palmerston more often just because it’s closer to home
