Given we need a couple of wide pace and his dead ball abilities, I’d probably still take him. But he looked lightweight and lacked workrate from what I saw - just couldn’t see Dyche trusting him.

If Manchester United were really interested in signing Collins we wouldn’t have had a sniff, if you & some others are unwilling to embrace reality & accept fact, you are in delusion, Manchester United didn’t want Collins because he wasn’t deemed good enough for them that’s not to say he won’t be a good enough player for us or he won’t develop in later life to be a good enough player for Manchester United, it’s not football manager it’s REALITY FACT.

That depends. If McNeil goes to Villa (And they seem very keen.) then it's a position we'll need to fill. Lot's of swings and roundabouts to play on before the window shuts.

Seems good business to me, mcneil to villa 40m, cornet to us 15m. Mcneil good player of course, few tricks up his sleeve, chips in with a goal or 2, but not particularly pacy, cornet from what I'm gathering has some pace, and potentially more goals. Get this deal done, money to play with for other positions, mcneil will likely go next season if not this, seems a no brainer to me.

He played LB last season but he's really a winger.

As for being worried, I wouldn't be. If McNeil goes to Villa (For a lot of money.) then we will have more to spend in other areas that need strengthening. It's not all about one position, or one player. It's the overall improvement of the squad.

Of course, but either way would seem a good acquisition, but agreed a bit worrying if he's being eyed as a left back, maybe to step in as pieters is out of contract, having ability to play in both positions, and his goal threat.

I agree that he would be a good aquisition, especially if he can also play on the right. If Villa are prepared to pay 40 to £50 million for McNeill, I'd snap their hand off. We could strengthen in several areas with the proceeds.

The one thing with selling any young players, Cooney being an example, is that we will be ensuring there are good sell on clauses in the deal.

I really hope we don’t sell Dwight this summer - we need our experienced PL players, plus I expect Dwight will have an excellent season and only increase his value - but we do need to have his replacement in the building and able cover if he gets injured. We’ve been very lucky that he’s managed to play so many games over recent seasons.
