Dyche's face on his Oldham post match interview on clarets+ shows a lot of tension I think

Pack this thread in guys, it's literally over. We're starting with what we finished with last year, minus the players resting from the Euros and Olympics or from surgery and those who have left.
Starting eleven against BHA
Hennesey

Be interesting to see if Tony knows anything on Dyches position.
Nixon posting some concerning things tonight.

Did Dyche ever end up signing that new contract?

You get the feeling that certain posters on here are literally waiting for the slightest mishap to happen so they can put the boot in on the new board.

Sorry what?Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 8:19 pmJust seen that, he seems to be suggesting there’s no money.
Am I missing something cos I've just gone through his tweets and I can't see where he's suggesting we have no money, he did however state that some players are badly overpriced and there are no bargain deals for good players.
Either you're seeing something that isn't there, or I've genuinely missed the part where he's made any mention about us not having money, just some Burnley fans asking if the owners have money...

“ Money for fees and wages … if you want upgrades they cost”
To me that suggests that there is limited to no funds available.

It's quite possible that Dyche is getting frustrated, not with the board, but with players and agents who keep entering into lengthy negotiations only to ultimately say "no". I suspect the new board are making far more serious (but measured) bids and offers and are also making many more of them and it's definitely getting people's attention and getting them to the table, but ultimately we're not a particularly attractive proposition for the better quality players who are genuinely up to PL standard and things founder. I hope we get him tbh, but Albrighton may well be good example of this, although not the only one.

We have money to spend, but we won’t just Chuck it all to the first club that demands excessive fees.

I agree regarding probably a reflection of nothing getting over the line, rather than lack of effort, but neither do I expect that will continue. However we also have to remember that predictions are this is a false market and that transfer values may start to spiral, won’t be helping with evaluations right up to the deadline.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 9:05 pmIt's quite possible that Dyche is getting frustrated, not with the board, but with players and agents who keep entering into lengthy negotiations only to ultimately say "no". There's always a limit to how much is available though, doesn't mean we have none, just means as always we operate within our means.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 9:01 pmHe was asked what is the problem with Burnley signing players and his response was:

No one on here, nor Nixon, knows what our budget is though but as Nixon has said some players are badly over priced.
We made a real push for Young and he wasn't going to be on peanuts, just gazumped at the last min by Villa.

Do you think Pope, Wood and Vydra will be ready for the start, considering Dyche's stringent requirements?
And is Pope fit?
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Is it a concern if we won’t pay over the odds, or is it being prudent and biding our time?Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 9:19 pmTrue, but do you not think him saying money is an issue is a concern?
You’ve a naturally pessimistic view of most things Burnley. With such a view, you were only going to read such a tweet one way.
Let’s wait and see how the window pans out.

I'll be willing to bet that the vast majority of England players v Italy will be turning out for their clubs on the opening day of the season.ClaretAndJew wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 9:23 pmDo you think Pope, Wood and Vydra will be ready for the start, considering Dyche's stringent requirements?

Wood, by the looks of it will be home soon & Vydra played a bit part in the Euro's.
And what's up with JBG?

Name me a more accurate one?
Was bang on with Collins and when we used to sign players he was pretty spot on. He definitely has some links with the club.

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Dyche has obviously been given a ‘plan’ by ALK to bridge the immediate future before they can implement the long term Brentfordesque recruitment strategy. This kept him happy, in so much he wasn’t looking for a new role, but not enough to sign up long term.
ALK aren’t delivering, Dyche is rightly starting to become unsettled. Any players that come in now won’t be ready for the season. This means we’re on the back foot, yet again.
I’ve said it before, Dyche is an ambitious and impressive coach, he wants to achieve all he can, if Burnley don’t match they ambition he will move on.
IMO he should move on, he’s destined for a top six job.
He and his back soon team are that good.
Long thought this might be a season where we fail to survive.
Dyche to move to before Christmas. Everton, Villa or Newcastle are my top three bets.

I've also seen the tweets and think that the usual suspects on here are interpreting them with their usual agendas.
As above, Nixon is just saying it's difficult to get good deals right now. And then when asked if we might change formation if we don't get any wingers in Nixon says if we don't get any wingers the manager will really start growling with a couple of laughing emojis.

For every one he gets right he gets several wrong. Throw enough mud, some will stick. Wilson and Worrall last summer as examples. Linked us to Osayi Samuel, rubbish. I’m not buying these Albrighton/Cornet rumours either.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 9:26 pmName me a more accurate one?

I don’t think he has any links with us at all because he’s been proven time and time again to sprout BS.
If he has links they feed him a lot of duff information. All his tweets are a few words of ambiguous rubbish that anyone could dream up and mainly opinion like “finding two wide men is proving difficult” and “if you don’t sign one the manager will be growling”. Talk about obvious statements anyone could make.

I totally disagree
Nixon gets loads right. Remember he just suggests we are interested or made enquiries.
So are u waiting for Boden to give u some news. Not a chance. He prints it when everyone else has first.
