Re: Arthur Gomes
I’d be disappointed if I’d got my hopes up. It’s been fun watching the excitement though.

Re: Arthur Gomes
Well, I for one am so disappointed.
I was so much looking forward to our new talisman megging Maguire at Old Trafford, winning more fouls than Grealish, out pacing Vardy in a defensive sprint but most of all laying on a host of delicious through passes for Wood and Vydra.
All our dreams shattered, but good whilst it lasted

Less language issues, probably easier to integrate, better weather and maybe even less visa issues.
Good luck to him

Re: Arthur Gomes
I think the first Burnley FC would’ve heard about this was from here. Funny what a blue tick on twatter can create.
Publicity stunt from their side I’d imagine, just to leverage a better / quicker deal or something. Was never going to happen, not our type of signing.

Re: Arthur Gomes
My money is on someone at the club overstepping their level of responsibility on the recruitment side or someone in the board room getting carried away. Dyche finds out that we’re about to sign a second rate footballer and goes mental.

Strange couple of days. At least it added a bit more excitement to an otherwise (so far at least) tedious transfer window.

Probably just an agent in the final stages of negotiations using us to close it out. Again.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 10:45 pmI think the first Burnley FC would’ve heard about this was from here. Funny what a blue tick on twatter can create.

Tomorrow’s news: Burnley and Estoril agree a “technical partnership” to share ideas and advance the promotion of talent”
Re: Arthur Gomes
Perhaps Estoril will immediately send him out on a season's loan to us?

My prediction is he will do nothing in Portuguese football.

Re: Arthur Gomes
So are most sites quoted on here, but this link quotes Atletico Clube Goianiense president Adson Batista and sounds more convincing than most. However he isn't very specific about where Gomes might go and says that three clubs are interested.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 7:20 amHITC is a clickbait site

Can’t wait for him to turn Walker inside out before bending in the opener from 25 yards in a 5-1 defeat at the Etihad.

Re: Arthur Gomes
Arthur Gomes is an anagram of My Arse Hurts... Or very nearly. Could be some kind of oblique reference to sitting on the bench too long?

And I was hoping the club photographer was going to capture Ben Mee’s stare across at him in the changing room on Day 1….. and Tark’s grin at Mee doing it
