Parking is usually cheap here in the UK, unless you're in a city centre or tourist destination.

Never understood why people who fork out 40k + for a car, won't pay a couple of quid to securely park it

It’s nothing to do with the cost of parking, it’s the ease of getaway. And yes it was considerably more than 40k, almost double that. I was just using the example to say it was a relatively safe place to park.

40 thousand pounds for a car? You would have to be a thick to do that or more money then sense

Slightly off topic but we see cars with fine notices on them almost every home game. These are on the streets behind the Park View and it's because people have parked across the lowered kerbs. I understand this is to discourage parking that causes difficulty for wheelchair users etc. but the state of the roads and pavements around there make it almost impossible to see the difference between the lowered and non lowered sections of pavement. It's a gift every home game for the parking wardens.

There are also parking restrictions in that area Saturdays and Tuesdays

Parked on-street since Fulledge closed 15/20 years ago right next to it (Mitella Street where it bends around past the playground on to a long stretch of road with no yellow lines or permit parking). Usually get there around 13:45, no issues, no payment. Easy getaway up Brunshaw afterwards via Culshaw Street towards Tod over past the Kettledrum.

Cannot remember a single time we’ve hit traffic or not got a spot (full from 2pm onwards, ish).

Just to give people the heads up - i've always parked at Burnley Asda on game days but after the Brighton game i've received a £70 parking fine for staying 3hr 2mins. They've installed cameras showing me entering and leaving the car park. Buggers! Beware ladies and gentlemen!

Have you been done for staying too long or not using the store? If it's the later then buy a pack of chewing gum for 50p and your a customer.
