Presume international clearance and visas will have to be sorted before it is fully done, but hopefully all that is left to do are formalities.
International clearance is just a matter of forms between the French FA and our FA. I think it's the Italian FA who can be notoriously slow but that should be taken as read.
I don't know what the rules are now for international signings. We would not have needed a work permit for him previously given that he's certain to have the required French documents given he's played for France. But whatever's required, we will have ensured it can happen so I don't see it as an obstacle.
Wouldn't surprise me if we announce the signing tomorrow though.

I asked a friend who's a Lyon fan, he said "He's a good soldier. Doesn't know how to cross". Make of that what you will.
On the videos I have seen of him I did notice no crosses. He seems to play balls into feet round the box. He also seems to do a lot of back heels and flicks. Would be perfect for Vidra but not Wood.

I’ve seen some good crosses to be fair. We’ll see. I think he’ll turn out a goodun...

I think he looks a very clever and tricky player who gets deep into the action - mainly in and around the box, which will often mean no crosses.

pretty sure it's re-hashed nonsense from earlier in the window but the Daily Mail have:
"Newcastle, Southampton, Burnley AND West Brom all weighing up a late cut-price £4m move for Scotland defender Jack Hendry despite him only joining Oostende this summer"

It's been so evident that, despite the usual having to wait, Sean Dyche has come across much more relaxed this year than in recent previous years.
yes - that’s been very apparent - his whole demeanour has been relaxed
…much less prickly in interviews!

In that pre - season friendly they played with highlights online. Maybe 5-3 or 3-4? He got 3 assists, but none of them were what I would call Dwight McNeil crosses, more like Gundogan / Bernardo pullbacks to the peno spot. Different option maybe?

1 more signing and this could be a brilliant window, I said we were 2 quality players short of becoming a very good side again. I wonder who is responsible for scouting/recommending Cornet?
I saw we were paying in 5 instalments, I think that's common for transfers. There should be money remaining in the club to hopefully bag another of real quality, either in central midfield, upfront or right back. I've noticed in interviews Dyche has really emphasised bringing in players to improve us and I like our new approach, quality over quantity (Lennon aside).
Maitland Niles and I genuinely believe we'll be nowhere near the relegation zone again for at least 3 years. Brick by brick

You don't even to do that, in between the names mentioned on here, a 60 second quick cursory Google search you'll have about 10 names in a hat obviously some will be strong & some weak.

I know there is no link but it is a player we were linked with a couple of seasons ago and still he has not moved this summer...but Sander Berge not gone any of the top clubs yet, Sheff Utd new manager moaning yesterday about no money, false promises.

Now there is a name which could be snagged for not too much and would improve our midfield:

The conclusion I have come to is that the ‘two names’ will be one name.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
I may well be wrong.

Rumours they want him on loan but to play right back, a position he doesn’t want to play.

AMN (happy birthday to him today by the way, he is 24) would also be on the bench at Everton, hard to see him displacing Coleman and Rafa likes midfielders with some creativity.
If he goes to Everton it will be because nobody else wants him. Apart from a striker RB and CM are our two weakest positions currently so it is easy to see why we may be interested.

Thinking about this Cornet fella and the fact that he looked very good in the you tube showing further up.
We all know that Dyche does put work rate very highly on his priorities in a player so Cornet might not meet that criteria and may have put lots of other managers off as well.

Cornet meets that certain criteria for sure
