My guess, only a guess, is that he was on the private jet that landed at Liverpool at 5:30 last evening. I would expect Pace to want to show off his marquee signing, and given the lad took some convincing I would also want fellow Clarets not to boo at any time today. We have to do our bit.

I won’t be there myself, too far to travel when on TV.

I’d also expect him to miss the Ivory Coast games. If he is a Burnley player today, the club has agreed with all PL clubs not to release players going to red list countries, Ivory Coast play in Mozambique.

Agreed, good start in boosting the starting XI along with decent backup in Collins, Hennessey and Lennon but we still could do with a couple more quality starting options.
