Formentera

Post by CaptainKirk » Thu Sep 09, 2021 2:20 pm

Looking towards next year when I might feel like venturing out again.
As the source of all knowledge, I thought I would ask on here if anyone has experience of this as a holiday destination and, if so, any recommendations?
Cheers in advance.

We have always stayed in Es Pujols. Lovely place, great beaches. Not cheap though.

Parking is horrendous, apparently.

Everytime I go to Ibiza I say I'm going to get the ferry over for a day but never got round to it yet! Heard nothing but good reports though, although I imagine in peak season it can get a bit crowded. I'd avoid late July/August if possible.

I’m considering Ibiza this year with the family, I’m not into the club scene as such but there really is something magic about that island that I can’t put my finger on.

It’s fantastic but you need deep pockets & big credit card, one of the most expensive places in Spain & i live near Marbella….. :D

The island is beautiful, you'll be hard pressed to find better beaches in Europe. The bars and restaurant are expensive, we only go for days trips so can't say much about accommodation other than whenever I've tried to book it has been really pricey.

August is full of Italian, like Ibiza. We usually get quads for the day and explore the different beaches however many people cycle as the island is relatively small. As mentioned most beach you'll find naked people as the norm.

The beaches in the North are the most popular but we enjoy visiting Cala Saona, Es Migjorn and Es Arenals
