Black History Month - Burnley FC
Just watched a brilliant compilation of BFC goals scored by some of our heroes.
Think Ade Akinbiyi at Stamford Bride is my favourite: "6,000 Burnley fans..." and I'm somewhere near the front of the crowd.
What is yours?
Looking forward to Maxwel Cornet having his own series of goals for us to watch again and again.

Thought it was a great compilation by the club- well done to them. Yes Hyde’s was a cracker and worthy of inclusion.

Alf Charles, came over with the West Indies cricket team but stayed and signed for Burnley as a footballer. He failed to make the first team though and subsequently signed for Nelson twelve months later in 1934.

One of the best Burnley away ends ever that. The noise when Hyde lobbed Friedel was deafening.

One of the better Burnley songs to go with it. The atmosphere carried on right through HT for that onePadihamThickNeck wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 3:01 pmOne of the best Burnley away ends ever that. The noise when Hyde lobbed Friedel was deafening.

How could I forget Mitchell Thomas?
What a defender he was, and in the twilight of his career as well
Imagine how good he'd have been if we'd got him in his prime?

Re: Black History Month - Burnley FC
Johnny Francis's two goals at Plymouth in the play offs come to mind, and are still one of my favourite memories as a claret.
I remember being so despondent after we could only draw 0-0 at the Turf and didn't think we had much of a chance in the away leg, but on the night Plymouth's defence have a clue what to do about his pace.
