For accommodation depends on your needs eg: distance/budget otherwise I'd just recommend the Shangri La at The Shard
Apex have some nice hotels, Apex Temple court is a mile's walk down the strand from the theatre.
Or just book yourself into one of the well located chains, near a tube stop, in anticipation of inclement weather and spend most of the time out of your room exploring.

For that authentic feel buy a three wheeled van and spray it yellow. Kip in that. Lubbly Jubbly!

Re: Only fools and horses musical
My first thought was why make a musical of Only Fools and Horses. Classic series but leave it where it is. What next a remake of Faulty Towers or a musical ( but with a more PC element) or maybe Rising Damp - The Musical.

Has anyone one seen the Back to the Future musical?
Wondered if that was any good.

I’ve stayed at the premier inn at Westfield shoppping centre. Excellent tube links as per London stadium and lots of places to eat in the centre if you don’t want to eat in central London. Supermarket under the hotel do you can pick up a sandwich for lunch and a bottle of wine for when you get back.
