Was there a programme for last night's game?

Post by Sean Dyche's Watch » Fri Nov 12, 2021 6:16 am

I couldn't see any programme sellers outside the ground. Does anybody know if a programme was produced for last night's game? Thanks.

We didn’t see any which along with not showing the lineups on the screen made it difficult to know who players were

No programmes. We were sat in the Longside Upper and I have damn good eye sight but when they put the England line up on the new screen it was so small it was impossible to read them. I used to be able to read the team on the other screen by looking to the left but can't this season. They've changed the font which makes it very difficult.

They did announce the teams over the tannoy but all 22 players seemed to have the same name, so bad is the PR system.

Nothing to do with age. I have excellent eye sight. The bloke to my right, in his 30s, could read less than I could on that big screen.

On the subject of programmes, I find it quite strange that the FA chose not to produce one but I was told a couple of days ago that they didn't bother for the last U21 game.

We were still coming through the turnstiles when the lineups were read out so didn’t hear them

There's a speaker above NU3 that is crackly, and emits a high pitched sound that is noticeable when the crowd is quiet. It's been like that for 3 years now! Surely speakers are tested on annual basis?

Only if you're in the supermarket. I've just tried it now and I can't read the ingredients on a tin of minestrone soup in asda from my home.

They are, and if you can hear the high pitched sound that is classed as the speaker working :D

Then you are indeed very fortunate. Most people of your age need assistance with vision and hearing

Only for reading which I've had for almost 25 years but not for distance at all.
