It's almost as if a very small percentage of a very very big number is a big number.claretandy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 6:03 am0.4% chance of catching it twice according to the official data, seems to be plenty on here though![]()

Re: Isolating over Christmas
The thread's had a couple of thousand views. If everyone who we'd expect to have had it twice posted - and they won't have - then that would already be 8. Obviously it's not 2,000 different readers but generally, the 0.4% figure and the three or four people posting they've had it twice doesn't seem too outlandish.
I imagine loads have had it twice and not noticed. I had Covid last year before it sold out and went mainstream and it was like a mild cold. Now I've got the antibodies plus 3 jabs, I doubt I'd realise the next time.

Re: Isolating over Christmas
Started with symptoms yesterday but tested negative.
Had all the symptoms overnight (cough, fever, headache) but feel pretty much back to normal now. Just tested positive though this morning.
So Christmas is cancelled in the Goddy household - drat.

As another poster has mentioned, it is a lot milder this time, maybe because of vaccinations or having it twice, possibly because it's Omicron. Whichever it is I have not had the breathing difficulties this time.

To catch it once is unfortunate.
Catching it twice must mean you're a bunch of feckless wasters

Sound like humourless virtue signaller to me.
Go and read some Oscar Wilde. You might get the reference then.

Ah well - look at the positives.
Might get away with having to eat some sprouts.
