We need three more players of Cornet’s quality and skill in midfield and we could stay up.

Pull him out of the AFCON now!
It’s a massive problem we’re losing him for that - but at least this run of games looks barren for us points wise anyway rather than being six pointers like this.

Good to see Max telling the team to get their heads up. Too many long-term player looking a bit jaded who need a kick up the 8rse.

So has he gained fitness in the space of 45 minutes. Sorry but he should have started. No other PL manager would have had him on the bench

Skill in our central midfield is about as rare as hens teeth

Why am I bothering typing this with our direct free kicks?!

I'd take McNeil off. He has been dreadful and sloppy.

Bring on Stephens..3 in the middle with Cornet and Lennon either side of Wood.

Short term loss to AFCON but long term gain. Great PR for the club that will benefit us long term. Play the long game.

Effing blind passing from ourMF again. When will they stop that? No wonder we can’t retain possession.

Never thought I’d see a 34 year old Aaron Lennon offering so much more than our future young superstar McNeil.
