Ludovic Ajorque. 6ft 6, 2nd top scorer in Ligue 1 with 10 goals (and 6 assists), playing for Strasbourg so won’t be on big wages. Would be worth a punt as a direct replacement for Wood.
Or this beast, Ebere Paul Onuachu at Genk, 6ft 7inch last season 33 goals in 38 games this season so far 9 goals in 8 games

Let’s be realistic. We all know our number one target will be Andy Carroll with Ashley Barnes for backup.

Nixon believes we will go in for Fulgini on a permanent deal now we have extra cash..a striker like Ajorque would fit the bill.
CM will be a loan I believe, Barkley or similar.
Maybe 1 other on loan too.
4 in with hopefully Roberts given more game time and Cornet to return might be the boost we need.
Personally believe we are odds on to go down but never say never!
So is that 2 perm strikers and a cm loan?

Fulgini is more of an attacking midfielder, can play 10. + 1 striker + CM on loan.
Only rumours and no definitive names on the other 2.

I'm hoping Ben has some positive information to go with his earlier post. I'm sure the sale of Wood hadn't been remotely any part of the equation.

Guidance about new signings from Pace to Dyche:
1. No players over 28 years old
2. Technically very strong
3. If central midfield then a ‘battler’ and organiser who would make a good future captain
4. An extreme athlete who will be comfortable with the high tempo of the PL
5. An intelligent player with good football brain

Could be this player Michael Frey of Antwerp, he's 6ft 2inch like Wood I know he only moved in the summer for £1.8 million but you never know for the right money, he's scored 15 goals in 20 game's and is currently rumoured to be on around 20k a week.

Seen it mooted a couple of times on twitter that the Belgian striker is possibly Onuachu, but never heard of him.

My pet hobby is trying to build up autographs of Burnley players, with the impossible goal of having every Burnley player I have seen or my dad was in awe of. I saw a Vossen autograph in his Burnley kit and thought there won’t be many of them about. The seller was obviously close to the striker because I got a note saying how sad things didn’t work out and he really liked the club. For the first time I was sorry his stay was so brief.

Onuachu seems to have the physical attributes to be good. Massive, strong, and quite quick.

Trouble is West Ham, Arsenal, Spurs, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Southampton are a few of the clubs after him, he wants a move to Arsenal, so I think it's a no go

This is a deal I could see happening.
He’s actually not bad with his feet either for a big man
He looked good last year too, forms a good partnership with Thomassen, but i think he's 28.

Yeah he’d be perfect for our system. Not sure if €17m will be enough though? I take it he’s at the AFCON with Cornet as he’s Ivorian isn’t he?

Only chance this happens is if Maxwell raves about how ace it is in East Lancs
He's a huge upgrade on our current midfield options, and I can't see other, bigger, wealthier clubs not being interested

This talk of Fofana and Onauchu suggests we mean business. These are Cornet style profiles that will turn heads. I sense Pace (as an ex Wall Street person) is a risk taker. I know some of us will be uncomfortable with that but it could be a fun ride. Beats a boring slide down the leagues anyway.
And of course…….it may work.

That’s my worry. Newcastle let us do the hard work, then come in at the last minute because they can.
