Re: Sunderland
I would rather lose 5 games on the trot 6-0 and stick with Lee Johnson than have a turd like Neil Lennon for a manager

Re: Sunderland
Precisely! and I'd have thought by now even their fans would have realised they don't have a divine right to promotion out of L1.

Re: Sunderland
I don't think they have offered him the job, they have offered him an interview.

Re: Sunderland
Can’t imagine ANYONE wanting to bust a gut for Roy Keane. I personally wouldn’t follow him in a conga, but each to their own.
He mistakes leadership for fear and domination… that can only be bad.

Re: Sunderland
As chance would have it, I saw Keano's 1st game in charge of Sun'lan' in September 2006- at Derby. There was a cricket ODI England v Pakistan series on and I had tickets for Friday at Trent Bridge and Sunday at Edgbaston & rather than travel up and down twice decided to stay in midlands and find an event on the Saturday- found this game.
Picked up a very nice seat (from a guy selling a spare tkt) on the front row of upper tier on the half way line. A big & vociferous Makem following filling the end to my right. Good start for Keane with a 2-1 away win & he got them back in the Prem before leaving after a bad run early in their 2nd season back. Clarets, I believe, were losing at home to Colchester on that day in Sept 2006.
England won both the ODI games v Pakistan to pull back the series to 2-2 so a pretty good sporting weekend for me.

Re: Sunderland
He's already been there hasn't he, wasn't he in charge when the bastards did Micky Duffs leg. Ruined our season that match.

Re: Sunderland
Ouch! Sunderland 2-0 down at home to the bottom side Donny, makes sacking the manager look an even barmier call now.
