Ben Mee's 10 year mosaic

Post by ArmchairDetective » Fri Feb 04, 2022 11:44 pm

In case people have missed the email:

Dear Supporter,

We look forward to welcoming you to Turf Moor tomorrow.

As part of our wider celebrations to mark Ben Mee’s 10 years at Burnley Football Club, we are asking for your help.

Tomorrow evening we would be grateful if you could be in your seat no later than 10 minutes before kick-off. Placed on your seat will be a card. As the team are getting ready to exit the tunnel and enter the pitch, please raise your card above your head. Together, the stand will create a mosaic that will acknowledge Ben Mee’s 10 year achievement.

Aside from this display, all supporters will be receiving 10% off throughout Turf Moor tomorrow night. This includes at the kiosks on the concourse and in the Clarets Store. To read more about tomorrows activities, please click HERE.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Kind regards,

Burnley Football Club

This should really add to the atmosphere. It's a great gesture for our captain and it the type of initiative that gets people interested in our club.

Can't wait for tomorrow.

UTC.

We would have needed more than the Longside for a landscape picture of the " Beeeeeaaast ".

Great of the club to honour him this way.

He has been a true professional and a bedrock for us for years.

Didn’t get 10% off my food and drink on the concourse at either of the last 2 home games so wondering whether it is today?

Not to my knowledge but there again, the club advertised this morning that today's game is being shown live on Sky.

It didn’t happen because of the heavy rain on the night, apparently lots of discarded cardboard sheets could be a slipping hazard.

It wasn't raining at the first game after his ten years last August

I got charged £2 for a bottle of water advertised as being £1.40

Queried it with the seller and he advised the pricing board needed updating. I wasn't bothered about the 10% off but was somewhat bemused about paying 42% more

Didn’t think you had to? All I saw was the celebration of 10% off - assumed it was for all ticket holders. If I have missed that salient point then that’s probably why and I’ve spent probably a quid more than I could have.

I definitely didn’t get 10% off.

I fully accept that I may have missed the detail but having gone back to look at the image I saw, Im now not sure that the detail was there.

As I said the amount I would have saved would have been less than £1 so its not something to get upset about. Just poor execution of what should have been a nice offer to those fans that came and bought something.

I should have queried it but it was so busy and the service was so slow, I just couldn't be bothered as it wasn't worth the hassle.
