Tuesday night's games - 08/02

Post by Spijed » Mon Feb 07, 2022 3:44 pm

As well as us playing there is a massive game with Newcastle at home to Everton.

If Newcastle win I can't see us having any chance of catching them.

However, a win or draw for Everton will pile the pressure on Eddie Howe.

Let's hope Frank Lampard carries on from the solid victory against Brentford in the F.A. Cup.

So basically if Newcastle win another game you can’t see us having any chance of catching them?

They’re playing their joker pal (not a dig at Chris Wood)
12 points for a win

I just think that if they beat Everton they could get a bit of momentum going.

But watching Everton against Brentford gives me plenty of hope that Everton can get a good result

Yeah, get what you mean. But we need to stop placing so much emphasis on individual games. If we hit our points target this season then invariably we will avoid relegation, despite whether Newcastle beat Everton.

I'll probably watch the Newcastle game as both us and Man Utd are dire to watch whereas Howe and Lampard both tend to play good attacking football so should be a cracker

It's really about time we focused on winning games ourselves.

What a load of garbage. A Newcastle win keeps Everton nicely in the mix. Frank is already on the defensive having to explain Adele’s coat et all. The more teams in the mix the better.

I think Newcastle need to lose, so their fans get on their back.

Everton can lose most of the rest!
Cheering on WGU too!

Tough life!

Will be wending my way to the home of football to see a wonderful 3 points for the Mighty ones.

I wouldn't read too much into any cup result , although, I do think that Brentford will finish below Everton this season.

And you have the bare-faced cheek to criticise posts from other people. Was this just 'off the cuff' or did you spend a little time thinking about it? 😀😁😉

He's on the wind-up again, surely by now his modus operandi should be familiar to regular posters, sometimes he's amusing sometimes not.
