How stupid is ITN

Post by SouthLondonexile » Tue Mar 01, 2022 1:56 pm

Just seen an interview with a mother caring for three children in a basement in Kyiv on her own. She happened to say her children thought Putin to be a **** in answer to a question from the newscaster, asking what the children thought of Putin.
Nina Hossein immediately interrupted the poor woman apologised to viewers for the use of bad language.
I think this is outrageously insensitive to this citizen of Ukraine, under threat from their ugly neighbour.
I’ve heard worse at the Turf.
I’m now on a roll - why is GMB - airing a competition to win
A few thou, when either side of this tripe we are seeing a democratic country being slowly degraded before our eyes.

GMB is pointless, using game show hosts to do serious political interviews is laughable, presenter then goes all sombre before inviting us to win 250k in their fantastic competition

I think TV companies are forced to apologise for choice language, as silly as it is.
It’s why we often get footy commentators doing it.

You get apologies after 10pm on a Saturday when you hear swearing at live boxing events, you will always get an apology in the afternoon. There will be someone somewhere offended therefore an apology is required.

They've got rid of the game show host this morning, replaced him with a daytime TV judge, ready to do hard hitting interviews

Selling news is an Americanism creeping in.

There is nothing sillier than a football commentary being interrupted to apologise for swearing, which usually hasn't been heard!

It certainly is Ian especially when the crowd are chanting "Lino Lino you're a c*** OR Your support is f****** s*** etc etc. The apologies in football generally come when there is a swear word from the bench or from players in close up.

Why do they need to omnidirectional microphones all over the ground when the know the likelihood of picking up industrial language. It's bonkers - and yes I know it's impossible to drown out thousands of voices chanting together!
