only one other poster has rated Weghorst has low as 3!
The other week you stated that you would delay posting on day of match to avoid ‘knee-jerk’ reaction.
why the change?
I’m as disappointed as anyone today but think that today
Weghorst is undeserving of the lowest rating possible!
UTC
I suggest you rewatch. That’s as bad a striker performance as I think we have seen in the prem.

If that was Wood he would be getting battered on here.

From tv

Pope 7 did nothing wrong
Roberts 6 he’s started hoofing the ball forward, I wonder why?
Tarks 7 mom a PL player in a Championship set up.
Collins 6 tough sending off.
Taylor 5 poor game today
Lennon 4 back to normal, should be his last season
Westwood 3 why he is anywhere near the squad I have no idea, get rid.
Brownhill 6 bet he wonders where Cork is.
McNeil 4 football is being coached out of him.
Weghorst 6 can’t we hoof it higher and longer to him?
Cornet 6 I don’t think he knows what his role is.

Jayrod 5 soo slow these days, great shame.

Dyche 0 terrible tactics, terrible football, hate to say it but the plot is well and truly lost.

I suspect you have just bought into the hype. That was a shocking striker performance.
Jesus Christ. You’ve never played up top with a long ball team and had to keep the ball. He hardly gave it away. Dyche is to blame

He won 30% of his aerial duals and only managed to complete 13 passes with 26 touches of the ball.

He was useless today, as I said if that was Chris Wood he would be getting slaughtered on here

Not even bothering with scores. I feel now the number of out of contract players who believe they may get offered new contracts if we`re in the championship next season and won`t if we stay up is affecting certain players performances, woeful management, woeful team selection, woeful tactics, woeful performance. The end is nigh

Pope 6 his kicking gets worse each week
Roberts 6 one great ball in that McNeil stood and watched
Taylor 5 poor again turning into mo Camara the 2nd where he can only run via the touchline and produce inept crosses.
Tarkowski 6
Collins 6
Westwood 3 utterly baffling he is playing a player who has gone backwards.
Brownhill 4 no coincidence he’s gone back to being totally average being paired again with Westwood
Lennon 4
McNeil 4 yet another sitter and one after where he stood and watched the ball flash across goal.
Weghorst 5 stop playing the ball to his head.
Cornet 5 another sitter missed story of our season.

Another baffling selection from Dyche picking the inept Westwood over Cork added to by the tactic of let’s just smash every ball first time and hope Cornet gets onto it. Another game against a team around us where we have failed to turn up. Still I’m sure it was all down to small margins.

Weghorst was poor today but that’s because we kept hitting balls in the air to him. I thought after half time of United game we’d realised it was better passing the ball to his feet.

As soon as Mee is missing it affects the balance of the defence particularly the left side. Both centre halves prefer the right centre half position. This caused some of the goals against Chelsea and today we have a simple ball in that should be defended easily.

If you are going to play Cornet and Weghorst at least play to their strengths. Weghorst needs the ball to his feet and he showed a few good touches in that capacity as he has done in every game but the balls are mainly in the air.

We struggle to find goals when we have more possession than usual. We are better with less possession when teams have less players behind the ball. Lennon had no space today.

He’s better than Chris wood. Who was useless for about 25 games for us. Do you just like to demonise players to get a semi on in your 1 bedroom flat?

He (Weghorst) has indicated on many occasions that he likes the ball to his feet.....right from the first game.

Today he ended up in midfield trying to get on the ball.....i really felt for him.....same goes for Cornet.

I can't remember a single occasion where it was played into his feet.

Over half of his touches were balls into his feet. I get your point but we are a team that since Defour left have never been about getting the ball into feet in and around the box.

You have to question why have we signed a striker like this when we clearly don’t have the tactics or players to play in the way that gets the best out of him.

In terms of rating him. It’s unfortunate but you can’t mark him higher because of the type of service he was getting. Fundamentally he just didn’t make an impact on the game.

Tarkowski ball watching again. He dident know where Toney was.
Let him run in behind him. And a quality cross. Job done.

If Dyche is still here next season we could do worse than asking Eddie for a Wood/Weghorst swap deal. Think WW would be better for them and Wood is better in a Dyche 4-4-2

We have to be honest and say we were the better team and always looked the more likely to nick all the points, but we didn't take our opportunities or play enough killer balls when in excellent positions, and you simply cannot defend very well for 85 minutes and then keave a proven goalscorer in acres of space right in front of the net and not expect to be punished. Absolutely awful goal to concede after a lot of effort and hard work and probably sums up the season (sadly!)

Ball was a hot potato yesterday however I do see an overeaction from some fans.
Dyche set the team up to pressure Brentford and it worked. If McNeil could head a ball and Cornet show a little more composure when 1 on 1 the marks would be considerably higher and we'd have won 0-2.
Pressure of league table and, more importantly for the players, staying up bonus, is starting to show.

Difficult to mark in some respects. Lots of endeavour and pressure created, without any control. Balls over the top without any build up. Great shame.

Just watched game right through. Observations

-We were unlucky to lose but can only blame that on our failure to take our chances
-Brentford wont get an easier win
-We failed to do any research on Brentford (surely the first task of the coaches). Brentford have conceded 8 goals from corners. Our 10 corners were shambolic
-Roberts has been in the first 11 almost 3 months and its obvious there has been no work done on the training ground on how we set up for these. Its just thrown in anywhere
-We defended very well for 80 mins. Tarks & Collins were outstanding and could have been 4-0 at HT to Brentford but for these two
_VW unlucky to be subbed. He was up against 3 giants, but held the ball well and laid it off. Lennon should have come off and Cornet gone wide
-JR and Cork should have started
-Westwood should have been subbed at he same time JR came on

I won’t
I listened to Clarets player on YouTube and they thought Sean D made the right decision bringing him off, which was vindicated by Jay Rod having more impact when he came on.

The reasons given was that WW was getting little joy in the air against 3 big centre backs and not effective enough on the deck.

I was so deflated after Saturday I've waited until today. I’m still not over that non performance, but I keep telling myself I really shouldn’t be surprised. The facts are the last 12 months (probably more) has seen more and more of these type of performances creeping in and I just can’t see anyway that side turns the last 18 months form on its head and wins the 1in3 / 4 games (minimum) it needs to stay up
