The source was given by a poster further up this page and replied to by a moderator. It’s not an opinion anyway. I’m just replying to a post.
Nah, its clearly your opinion which you have got from something or somewhere
I'm just intrigued to know where you've got it from

The transition from a fully mechanised modern army the world feared into the Toyota cavalry you see in low intensity conflicts all over the world has been a lot quicker than anyone expected
I mean, those look like the kind of vehicles used by a country expecting just to rock up into an undefended town and terrorise the defenders
But the Ukrainians are using a lot of SUVs as well, and with the shortage of vehicles and transport that both sides probably have, makes a bit of sense

Also being reported that Putin isn't prepared to compromise (and as we know he wanted the whole thing) either
So peace talks very likely to fail, and more Ukrainians and Russians will die because of a 70 year old man not being able to admit he's made a colossal mistake
Peston reporting that its highly likely Finland will apply to join NATO in the summer or the autumn

I hate fluff pieces like that
Its Russian - populated overwhelmingly by Russians, as almost all the Germans left in 1945 (either evacuated, well worth a read about the evacuation convoys, rescued over 2 million people, kicks Dunkirk into touch or driven out)
If we refight the territory settlements of WWII, then there really is no hope

This American gent is volunteering in the Ukraine. He asked for his followers to donate a dollar each for body armour and to buy some 4 x 4’s . Within 24 hours he had $50,000 dollars in his PayPal account. He now has a Mitsubishi!!!

I believe Sweden has also had a sea-change of public opinion and now wants to join NATO at the first opportunity. You’d think these long term ‘neutral’ countries deciding they need NATO’s protection would resonate with certain posters as to the rights and wrongs of coverage on this thread, but I suppose for some facts spoil a good alternate reality.

REUTERS: EU to look to make social media tech giants answerable for their disinformation content expected in April (of course some board members will decide its pro-western censorship rather than ethical cleansing of misinformation)

A slippery slope.
I don't like censorship, it takes away a person's freedom, but with freedom comes responsibility. I'd rather they were allowed to publish what they want, but if it proves false, they then get punished. At least it will convince most to carry out a self assessment before they choose to post.

I suspect that is exactly how it will work. As we have seen the better ‘bot’ accounts are still getting traction; I suspect the measures will mainly revolve around knocking them permanently once discovered.

I don't like censorship either
But loads of people are getting fooled by stuff and I don't know how else you sort it out?
Everyone can't be super informed, for a huge variety of reasons, and I don't see how else you stop epic misinformation spreading quicker than what has actually happened
Its a very tough one

I would be very surprised if anyone who lives in a country that borders Russia would want to be neutral anymore. The more countries in NATO the better for me.

You really are down on Zelensky aren't you?
This is were I get really boring, and ask you to share your source material that you've based your opinion on
I mean, you are not going to come to that conclusion without anything to back it up are you?
Well I did try to but my post has been removed. I can’t understand why. Perhaps the moderator can explain.
MODERATOR : I am not going to make a habit of this, there are plenty of posts explaining - not only posts that are deliberate attempts to enflame arguments but also those related/responding to them - which was the case in this example. If the sources are found to be reliable and relevant, they are left for posters to draw their own conclusions. I would also point out I have been trying to avoid being heavy handed, and have yet to issue a single ‘ban’ on this thread (despite some posters best efforts); I hope we can keep it that way, but posters themselves will dictate that.

How do you decide what is reliable and relevant?
MODERATOR: FINAL COMMENT ON THIS - the same qualifications that convinced a very reticent chief moderator, to reintroduce the thread, against his own personal judgement… much to his credit, I might add.

Putting my bit in here
Some posters on this thread are clearly using, er, "alternative" sites for how they are getting their information
If they are happy to source those sites, then its a pretty easy check to see just reliable they are
if they aren't willing to source those sites, then its perfectly acceptable to delete the posts

That sounded a lot less confrontational when I typed it!
Sorry
Meant that if its disinformation, then it can be highlighted as such, and if its a valid resource, then we can all use it
Hope that sounds and comes across better

You've just removed half of the comments that don't politically align with your view. I'd rather you just banned me than deleted my posts to silence me.

There are a lot of flights similar up and down the border if you keep checking. I didn’t post them as I didn’t think most people were interested.
Sorry Lowbank but:-
There aren't.
I do.

How close to a tank do you have to be so the missile doesn't have time to arm?
This close
https://twitter.com/RALee85/status/1508537524293181440
And again, tanks with no visible infantry support, in a built up area?
No wonder they are up to 300 + destroyed in a month

So that didn’t destroy the tank because they were so close?
Shame they didn’t take the tracks out and put it out of service.

Possibly only an RPG, and though they aimed it at the bit with the weakest armor, it still didn't go through
Probably a good job for the lads who fired it, as it would have detonated the ammo for sure and they'd have been blown sky high as well
