How do you rate a referee who has a different interpretation to The Laws of the Game which is dependant on which team commits an offence?
No wonder that Sean was doing his pieces on the sideline, particularly after Corbet was flattened in the off the ball incident and no action was taken at all. City player goes down when touched and it is a foul, opponent goes down when pushed or hit hard and that is no foul.
We are not good, however, it would be good to get the odd decision in our favour and not just with seconds to go when he decided that we couldn't do any damage if he gave us a free kick.

He was very much below par today. Especially in terms of his control and authority.
We ought to do away with the "formula" for additional minutes and just admit it's however long the ref and his cohort fancy playing on for.

That sounds grim Ashington and coming from you, a referees’ friend, is somewhat alarming.

I disagree. Pawson has consistently been that poor.

He’s an arrogant git. Can’t do with him. Bias towards the top sides consistently. Not even going to bother marking him

Easy game to ref when both teams are just out for an afternoon stroll

Genuinely can’t comprehend how the standard of officiating is so poor in this country.

Unfortunately, I will only let myself down commenting on Pawson. No comment.

Allowed City to be given fouls for the slightest touch whilst Burnley get nothing for over zealous challenges and hands around Weghorst’s neck.

He always has the look of guessing at a lot. Weghorst yellow for I assume an elbow Ake got away with exactly the same foul from one of their corners.

Wasn't even looking most of the time and conveniently saw nothing from City and was persuaded that ge saw fouls from us.
Shambles.

It's very much the case against any so called big team
The players run the game
The ref does what the players ask of him
It's very blatant and very demoralising

1 was going to award him 12's across the board then he went to Foden as Foden was Subbed & shook Fodens hand ... sorry but is that something Refs should be doing ... surely impartiality should reign ....
So because of that its

Ake spent the entire game climbing over his man and went unpunished
City players play acted at all challenges even holding their face in a blatant attempt to get their opponent booked with idiot Pawson fell for, booking Wout for a nothing challenge and ignoring the mugging on Cornet

Ref awful and the linesman on the Bob Lord side as above, I'd get in trouble if I said what I think of him.

Considering how easy a game it was to referee, Pawson was both pathetic and apathetic

Typical of most PL league standard referees. Poor and biased towards the oil billionaires. Shocking.
