Corporations are not responsible for people reacting in this way though, people are responsible for their own reactions and if their first thought is it's a box ticking exercise then that's on them.

That’s because in modern society you have quotas where you need to select a certain group of people irrespective of whether they are competent or useless, gone are the days where you just simply hired the best bloke for the job, I’m not suggesting or implying the new presenter isn’t good at his job I don’t know the first thing about him.

It lost any sense of seriousness when I noticed that the first link was dated back in 2001 January, a lot that can change in over 21 years.
