Why would they release a thank you video etc?
All that's needed is the thanks at the end of Pace's statement.
Why would they release a thank you video etc?
The question I would ask is why wouldn’t they release a thank you video unless it was acrimonious?GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:49 pmWhy would they release a thank you video etc?

If you are guessing at a player then I think you will be a mile away
Are you on ALK's payroll?GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:49 pmWhy would they release a thank you video etc?

Has the unreported sacking come as a shock to you Tony?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:55 pmIf you are guessing at a player then I think you will be a mile away

maybe they were also bored of his football and they told him so ? I dunno, I honestly expected this but in the summer - not sure it does much good now tbh
Tell me which other clubs have done it when sacking a manager, especially on the day ....
Would that be 14 league wins from the last 68 games out of the blueSuperjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:59 pmi wonder if anyone had any money on him being sacked this really came out of the blue
Dyche said in an interview with Jake Humphries last year on YouTube "footballs easy you just boot it forward in a 4-4-2"Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:59 pmmaybe they were also bored of his football and they told him so ? Good post.buzzclarets79 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:57 pmI completely get that people are shocked that SD no longer manager of Burnley football club, it’s come out of the blue but some of the absolute rubbish being posted on here is unbelievable, from the players should go on strike, the new man has absolutely no chance of keeping us up, and various comments aimed towards the board.
No one knew what was going to happen today, just like no one knows what will happen over the coming days, I do suspect a new manager will be in place by Southampton home game.
Wait until the bigger picture is in place, a bit of calm and perspective is required.
Maybe ALK put £60m on it at unbelievable odds at the bookies across the road from the Turf?Superjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:59 pmi wonder if anyone had any money on him being sacked this really came out of the blue
I know but it looked like we were really going to see it through with him this season, its late but the right decision for me.
Without even thinking about it - Solskjaer at Man United. And it’s not like Dyche has only been here for a couple of seasons, is it?GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:01 pmTell me which other clubs have done it when sacking a manager, especially on the day ....
If they're going to do a tribute it would be at a later date but as far as I'm aware no other club has ever released a thank you video after sacking someone, it's the ultimate pss take
My understanding is it’s been coming for a while. Suggestions senior and KEY players were done with him. Does make the timing a bit odd, perhaps they waited for season ticket renewals early bird to finish, not sure. I’m sure they’ve got someone lined up though.
Utds statement at the time -
You present a very simplistic view of supporters feelings towards Dyche. I don’t think many wanted him to be sacked, they were just critical and frustrated with his style of play and tactical decisions. This is a message board for people to air their opinions on football related matters. When the team are playing like they have been and are in the drop zone then the manager is bound to come in for criticism. Deserved criticism in my view. Yes there have been a couple of threads of late clamouring for Dyche out, however I think many reasonable posters were just looking for a change of approach from Dyche and his team and possibly something to be optimistic about should we end up back in the Championship.
I was responding to someone who was criticising Burnley fans for moaning about Dyche, and then also moaning when he is sacked. I’m merely pointing out that there are different fans, and those who moaned about Dyche are not likely to be the ones who are moaning about him being sacked.Jamesy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:09 pmYou present a very simplistic view of supporters feelings towards Dyche. The timing is incredibly weird and it felt a bit cold to me. I agree he should've gone in the summer, announced before the last home game of the season, gave him his send off moment. The good news is the new guy gets time to bed in and look at the squad before the summer window and who knows? just maybe this season isn't dead just yet.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:59 pmmaybe they were also bored of his football and they told him so ? Maybe Pace has been down to Barnfield and not liked what he saw or had his spies do a recon on the place and what has been happening.KRBFC wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:13 pmThe timing is incredibly weird and it felt a bit cold to me. If we get a new manager in after West Ham, the next 4 games are Soton (H), Watford (A), Wolves (H), Villa (H). 4 winnable games, 3 at home, with sides on the beach. A sudden new manager ''bounce'', pick up 3 wins from those games and we're probably out of the bottom 3 with 3 games to go. There was 0 chance we'd win 3 of those 4 under Dyche with the way we've been playing.
Hopefully the new manager can get Mcneil and Westwood firing at the top of their game, maybe in a new system? and a style suited to the strikers we have? Who knows what will happen, one thing is for certain though, we were heading one way only under Dyche.
It's also weird we've sacked the entire backroom staff too, including Mercer an excellent GK coach. Normally they stick around until the new manager decides who to keep/let go.
Dyche was going ape **** at Garlick for letting Hendrick, Bardsley and Lennon run their contracts down, I'd be surprised if he was happy behind the scenes with the 10 first teamers expiring.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:31 pmwhen you think about how often both Dyche and Pace said they were aligned with their thinking for the club it surely only points to a massive fall out
Mentioned it before but suggestions Dyche lost the dressing room in particular senior and key players. One player who you might be surprised with.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:31 pmwhen you think about how often both Dyche and Pace said they were aligned with their thinking for the club it surely only points to a massive fall out
yep, and with Pace saying this you could be absolutely spot in with that
Show me the evidence this board have a plan?buzzclarets79 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:29 pmWell they’ve not just woke up this morning, put the kettle on and thought what should we do today….. yeah I know let’s sack SD.
There’s always a plan, it’s just where we as supporters fit into it and indeed agree with it.
I’m quite prepared to see what happens next before commenting, they have stated they made the change to give us a shot at staying up, that to me says that they have someone ready to take over.
End of the day we as supporters have no control over what happens.
I think the truth is simpler. Pace didn't think Dyche could keep us in the PL and his financial structure won't survive the drop.KRBFC wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:13 pmThe timing is incredibly weird and it felt a bit cold to me. What if Pace was / is trying to renew the contracts of some of the OOC players and none of them wanted to renew under Dyche? Just throwing it out there..
Why do you and others think that people on here are privy to the club's business plan?
I can’t help but feel that they’ve got someone lined up for the job, ready to announce after the weekend and just possibly the new man has said he wants either a clean slate, or maybe he has said I’ll bring in my own backroom staff.
If, as you’ve suggested, it’s player power that has done for Dyche, they can **** off. He’s made the majority of them the players that they are today.
I actually thought Ole did a good job at United in steadying the ship and building a decent youthful side ready for someone else to take it over. Not sure how that would translate here though....brexit wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:38 pmI think the truth is simpler. I have it from a very good source the new manager will be in the stands on Sunday watching the match. From a very bad source it will be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
