Rooney is one I don’t think would work out. This season he’s almost run on adrenaline and his team has too - it’s not by design - which is why I wouldn’t want RooneyClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 10:48 amI really don’t have a clue but I’m intrigued by Rooney who has rightly earned so many plaudits this season, particularly in the way he has conducted himself.

In that situation, I expected Rooney to explode and make a real arse of it, but he hasn't and I've been hugely impressed with him in that respect. Good potential manager? I don't know, but he's surprised me.

Re: Kjetil Knutsen no-go
I think Rooney was in a fairly simple situation. He could have quit and said he couldn't work under those conditions. Nobody would have complained. In stead he ended up in a job with absolutely no expectations other than relegation. The pressure was off. He had time to work it out. And he's doing OK. He's surprised me too. But I haven't seen alot to convince me he will be a top manager. The championship is a mental division, and I think you need to make a club consistent in that league to show real quality. i.e. 23 games....
