I'm very nervous after Evertons flukey win, there will though be more twists before end of season.

Everton winning was unfortunate.

It makes it tighter for sure. I think if we can get Cornet fit for the last 4 games we stay up. Hopefully don't turn up on the last day.
Has there been any word on Cornet’s injury?

Players have no need or right to comment on business practices of their contracted or other clubs. To do so would bring them into conflict with their contract.

I can tell you the truth of the matter, yes that is from one perspective when there are three to consider. But contracts are based on factual statements and work very hard to eliminate misunderstanding and grey areas.

I’d Google cognitive dissonance and spend some time having a read.
No that’s complete ******** I’m afraid if everything was above board he would clearly state so he wouldn’t be breaching anything, it’s a straightforward normal line of questioning & wouldn’t be upsetting either party on the other hand if things weren’t completely kosher with a statement already submitted you would stick to what had already been agreed prior.

That is the fact of the matter. Stop looking for chaos and conspiracy.

The truth is out there.

Good morning, if something wasn’t there there’d be no need to look! 2 versions at present seem to exist it’s a simple case of choosing which 1 you are inclined to believe, top & bottom. I’m not asking you to believe anything or expecting you to, so just leave me be please with my beliefs I can respectfully agree to disagree.

If Godwin’s Law talks about how at some point every internet debate eventually invokes Hitler, what’s the equivalent for Schrodinger? Apparently we now have Schrodinger’s minimum fee release clause.

To answer the OP question- slightly behind where I was after we beat Everton, since they beat Chelsea. Ahead of where I was after we lost to Norwich, a LONG way ahead of where I was after we sacked Dyche- never been so glad to be wrong about my predictions.
We can survive, I've never realistically thought Everton will drop and still don't. I have it between us and Leeds, about even maybe slightly in our favour but it's marginal.
Think we pick up between 3 & 7 more points, I have a horrible vision of us getting 5 & needing 6 (beat Villa home, draw away, draw Newcastle, Leeds beating Brentford and Brighton, Everton getting 6-9 from Watford, Palace and Brentford).

This was the table straight after we'd won.
Since the Everton game we've played five matches to their four and gone ahead by two points. So in effect, we are now slightly ahead of that position, having won the extra game played.

I know, I'm basing it on our comparative run ins and the fact they got 6 off Man U and Chelsea while we got 0 off Norwich- I had us getting 3 and them 0-1 from those, and after Everton (but not after Norwich) felt Wolves, Southampton, Watford and Norwich were all winnable based on respective form/strength or in the case of Wolves our good recent record and home advantage. Or in other words, after Everton I thought we'd have roughly as many points as we do now, maybe 1 or 2 less, but that Everton would have 5-6 less. After Norwich I was less confident of anything from us.
Right now, I see them getting 6-9 more points based on form and fixtures, maybe only 4-5, us at least 3 but probably 5-7.

On current form Everton have 7 points from the last 6 games.

If we win on Saturday, we are on 37 points with three to play

All we can do is win as many points as we can, try to get our injured players back and see where we end up

Put it one way, we needed something like silly like three straight wins three games ago, and we've managed it, so you would hope that the squad have enough to get us over the line

I honestly don’t know how I feel. I do think Everton will get out of it and Leeds have a really tough run in.

I feel we have to beat Villa on Saturday.

If we do that and Leeds lose at Arsenal, I think our goal difference will be the clincher - but it’ll go to the last day.

On current form Everton have 7 points from the last 6 games.
I have said twice now I'm talking since we played them. In that span they have only lost to Liverpool, drew with Leicester (which I figured was likely but a possible Leicester win since we beat Everton but lost to Leicester), and beaten United and Chelsea. They have 7 from the 4 since we played them, which is around 6 more than I expected, maybe 5.
At the time we beat them their form was awful. They'd taken 3 from the previous 4, you have to go back 12 games to total 7 points. I didn't see them rallying after we beat them, I figured whoever won that would be the only one to then have a run.

The fixtures a week tomorrow will also go a very long way in determining the outcome of the season.

Leeds v Chelsea
Watford v Everton

I think we will finish above Southampton. I don't think they will be relegated so I suppose I feel fairly confident of staying up.

Doesn't stop me checking fixtures and tables every 30 minutes though.

I think 6pts keeps us up. I wouldn’t be surprised if 4or5 pts would, as that’s what I feel Leeds might get, but I do think we need 6. Saturday is once again a crucial game we need to win.
