POTY

Post by BFC123 » Sat May 21, 2022 6:44 pm

Have I just completely missed it or have the club not run a vote for this season’s player of the year?

Not seen anything. Pope would probably get 99.7% of the votes though.

Judging by the player ratings, and MOTM votes it'll be between Pope and Tarks, and it's telling that few if any of our attacking players are seemingly in the running, Cornet might have been up until he departed for the ACON, but since his return he's not hit the same heights of his early season performances.

Kevin Long. Given the trophy on the pitch after a 95th minute header to keep us up.

Supporters Groups couldn’t hold a player of the year evening and there’s been no info on the club holding theirs.

Think not having a POTY yet is for the best given the 100% focus required on staying up.

The club's is usually announced long before and wouldn't take anything away from the focus. The only involvement the team have is turning up for it.

I can understand not having an awards night but it seems strange to not even have an online vote.

Mine would be Tarky by a country mile, pope second, Taylor 3rd

I’d imagine Collins will be the man next year

I agree but I also think it should be once the season has finished which it never is.
The problem is, once the season finished the boys jet off on a well deserved holiday

Both Pope and Tarky had a rocky patch earlier in the season and nothing to choose since as bothe the best in their position that I have ever seen.
