Been speculation for a few days now - hugely popular with the fans after last season too.

Re: Huddersfield will have a new manager
Good for us, in my opinion. It felt like it was the manager more than players which got them to where they were last season.
Hopefully this puts a bit of a downer on them for when we arrive!

Look set to be losing Lewis O'Brien as well, bad week for them really.
Re: Huddersfield will have a new manager
Where's O'Brien off to?

Re: Huddersfield will have a new manager
No guarantees but that surely weakens them.
Does that leave these teams as the favourites for Top 6?
Burnley
Norwich
WBA
Watford
Sheff U
Boro
Of course there will be a few surprise packages along the way, there always is.

Definitely a big loss for Huddersfield.
And those 6 are the ones I'd expect to contend, but Sunderland are a team who I can see being a surprise package.

Think they are doing some good business and Wilder has a full pre season to put his stamp on things. Fancy them to be up there.distortiondave wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 10:25 amMiddlesbrough are **** and they'll be nowhere near.

Re: Huddersfield will have a new manager
Reading the Huddersfield message board online they're not best pleased with Dean Hoyle for this. They say Carlos Corberán has been given no money to spend. Reports a rival club have approached him and Huddersfield fans mentioning Wagner, Dyche and Rooney as possible new managers.

Can’t see any of those names wanting the jobclaretburns wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 10:30 amReading the Huddersfield message board online they're not best pleased with Dean Hoyle for this. Be surprised if Boro aren’t in an around the top 2 this season.distortiondave wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 10:25 amMiddlesbrough are **** and they'll be nowhere near.
Top manager, good squad, good recruitment.
Re: Huddersfield will have a new manager
They announced 2 signings yesterday- such odd timing
Re: Huddersfield will have a new manager
Given that our next season team performance is currently an unknown, I’m not sure how we can be listed as a favourite to get promoted! Still, I admire your optimism to include us in your question.

Re: Huddersfield will have a new manager
It would be the ultimate irony if our first game under Kompany saw Dyche in the opposite dug out.claretburns wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 10:30 amReading the Huddersfield message board online they're not best pleased with Dean Hoyle for this. I'll be surprised though if Dyche took that job.

Re: Huddersfield will have a new manager
It's not just that. We will be a completely different team, new manager, new players, radically different playing system, it seems, and quite a few players who haven't played at this high level before.
We are a complete unknown entity.

O’Brien been linked with Florist for £10m. Top player that I’d have loved to have on board but with Bastien signing I feel that ship has sailed.

And because of their succession planning they have been able to immediately appoint Danny Schofield as their new head coach.

Dyche to Huddersfield
Imagine if our first game back in the Championship was against a team managed by Dyche.
Could happen, a higher end Championship club similar sized to Burnley I’d say.

Re: Dyche to Huddersfield
Not surprised at Willoughby being his number 2, obviously the bookies favourite, I'm gutted for Gordon the Gopher though.
Re: Huddersfield will have a new manager
So Corberán going back to Leeds as assistant manager, resigned so Huddersfield won’t get any compensation
