Harsh. Think he's been good.
No he has been but that last 15 minutes, you can see it's affected him. I've been impressed in his all round play but he's had 3 really good opportunities so far and he's fluffed them. He knows that and what I'm saying is I hope something goes right to get his head back up because there's clearly a good player on that showing.

Ah, yes! That’ll be the Jones who helped get us promoted in 2014.
Dave Jones was excellent, I'll never be told otherwise.

Maatsen looks different class
You can see why Coventry wanted him back on loan.

Now you can see why I wasn't worried about us going down and rebuilding. This was so long overdue.

Brilliant first half. Ashley is well past his best though.

You just cannot believe that is such a new team going off that first 45 minutes.

It was an unbelievable half of football.

Absolutely
Shows how we can pass it around and create chances
Feel sorry for Costello missing that chance
Hope it doesn’t put him off his game as he has done well so far
He's just needs to calm down a little but he looks a player to me.

Sort of football we played that half is made for him.

On paper 4-2-2-2, but the fullbacks are pushing up very very high, Costelloe keeps drifting,Bastien is everywhere and Cullen and Cork tucking back. It honestly seems more like 2 everywhere.

Not getting carried away or counting chickens before they hatch but it'd be absurd to deny that that was an impressive opening half.

We look so good, the amount of messages from other fans I've had tonight is unreal. Costelloe has really struggled, and it's done his confidence. Really hope he gets a goal.
Am I watching the same game? I’ve been seriously impressed for a 19 year old making their first professional appearance!

Could and should be more than 1 up.

Played some really really good stuff. Very fast play, playing like a team that was in the PL last season against a Championship team.

Not being too critical, but we should have had at least one more goal to cement our supremacy in the first half

The fact we are playing like that after less than 2 months of VK and so many new faces (albeit so clearly bought to play this exact system) is astonishing.

Genuinely wouldn’t care if we got beat, given the clear and absolute promise displayed.

Dynamic, pragmatic & purposeful football. Can we sustain for 90 mins, for 10 games, for a season? I’m excited to find that out.

Brilliant 1st half, great to see the passing game
Only downside it could be 2 or 3 more

I will add that I think this display might see a few other targets keen on joining!
Or wondering why they left 😂
Unfortunately, it works the other way around as well... If we keep playing like this over the next few weeks, it will likely lead to us also losing Roberts and Brownhill as well!

No where near as good as Cullen. Wouldn’t get in this squad.

How good is it to watch exciting technical football at pace.

Costelloe has been fine, let's get behind the lad don't lambast him if not everything he attempts doesn't come off.

Do agree, Costelloe spurned a good chance and has fluffed a few plays and I felt Barnes held on too long before the penalty shout.

It was a dominant 1-0 but still 1-0. Always want a cushion.

Ive not intended to come across as negative ao sorry if that's how it was interpreted. He's a young player and all around has looked excellent, what I'm trying to say is I saw in his body language that the missed chances made his head drop. I hope something happens to change that because he has certainly been good!

Can we give the Dyche stuff a rest on both sides, and just enjoy what we're delivering at Huddersfield tonight.

Long may we continue in this vein.

If Jones got the ball there was a 70% chance it was going back not forward. Don’t understand why some fans give him so much credit.

Interesting as I actually think he's been better than THB.

We've not really got going this half. Not completely convinced by our central defensive options. Hope I'm wrong and THB scores from a corner or makes a blinder play.

Maatsen should have closed the cross down quicker, but otherwise think defence has looked good.
