So who is the next lucky player that is going to join us
A striker… Delap or Ugbo. Likely going to be surprise though given the limited links on here.

A midfielder… O’hare

A defender… Van see Berg or Hendry

Nixon suggested we were working on work permits for a couple. So with Benson now in. Whose next?

I haven't seen this kind of player turnover since I was in charge of Sheffield Wednesday on Championship Manager about 30 years ago.

Itching for a striker or two now :D

Delap appears to be nailed on to go to Stoke and Nixon suggests he wasn't on our radar.

O'Hare has a hamstring injury and rumours suggest it isn't a good one, so it looks from the outside that we've moved on from him.

It's a shame if all that's correct as I definitely fancied Delap and the way Coventry fans kicked off over O'Hare suggests he'd be rather good too. Disappointed.

Not a rumour directly to us but Villa’s Keinan Davis is wanted by many Championship clubs on loan according to a Villa reporter. He was excellent when I saw him for Forest last season. Not sure how much they want for him but reckon he could even be a shout on a permanent deal, unlikely to get into Villa’s team anytime soon.

The Delap one is strange. Fabrizio said he was off to Stoke (advanced negotiations) what feels like a week ago yet he’s not gone. Wonder if that has sparked interest from other clubs? The link to his Dad probably means that’s done.

O’Hare I was always unsure about, mainly because he is rumoured to be very expensive.

That Gilmore point about no squad number was interesting yesterday. Must be a few of these young players on the fringes of first team squads with no real chances of playing that we could snap up if we make a good start.

I still wonder if Cantwell might become a target towards the end of the window after that Kompany “like”, when Norwich realise it’s sell or lose him for nothing in the summer. Bit of a risk attitude wise but think he’d do very well in our system.

It's hardly a big secret to be fair.

Pace was talking openly about his 'data led' recruitment for ages. But whatever data is being used is clearly being used to analyze targets already identified by VK.

Unless you think Pace goes on Wyscout on his laptop and is discovering players from Antwerp and Cercle Brugge?
And also to be fair, the data needed to identify Scott Twine as a potential target would start (and almost finish) with "20 goals and 13 assists". It doesn't take a super-flashy algorithm to spot those particular data. As you say, the algorithm might be used for confirmation.

Report it and it’s dealt with. You are not the only one sick to the back teeth of it but, as I continue to ask, if you report it then it’s dealt with.

If Carlsberg did bellendry on message boards.
What should be a very exciting time for genuine transfer discussion has long since turned into a d!ck swinging contest. 😡
I agree... I am a part owner of an MMA Academy which is fairly local and has a caged ring...

Can we all just get in the cage together to sort this d!ck swinging contest out because the nonsense on this board is getting ridiculous.

Does anyone think Twine will replace Costelloe in the starting lineup tomorrow?

Depends if he is fully fit. Seems like he has to build himself up to deal with the physicality of this league

Didn’t realise that Chair is actually Belgian but has chosen to play for Morocco. Right footed as well so certainly ticks all the right boxes but has a number of years to go on his contract so is surely out of our price range. After watching the Udders game maybe VK is going to consider playing one forward like Barnes who can play with his back to goal as well and then bring the goal scoring wide players into play. I’m not sure teams particularly at the Turf will give us much space in behind for the quick pacy centre forward type to exploit.

I'm beginning to wonder now if our procurement plan is based on Meme value alone for the video intros.

i think whatever interest we had, that ship is sailed.
Seems quiet now but Vitinho seemed to come out of nowhere, so anything can happen.

Would be happy with a striker, but I think as someone pointed out, we might not have a striker in the traditional sense. We seemed to create a decent number of chances with just Ashley up top.

He started buying younger and foreign players when Dyche was here.
He's still doing that now, but with Kompany choosing who to go for.

Are you thinking Pace has zero input on the transfers?
Which young foreign players did he buy when Dyche was here? Weghorst is 29 mate.

I wonder who is targeting players from the Belgian league, Pace or Kompany? tricky one

Interesting, was very impressive at Forest, I think they’ve looked into signing him permanent, just saw a 15m price tag mentioned. Archer is a good shout too although I’m sure Gerrard just said he’s staying with them.

Another young lad I think Kompany would be interested in would be Plange on loan.

Ah the man who championed WW as a good signing for the club

Kompany is choosing the players along with staff at the club, the club is then getting the transfers done.
It's a joint effort, not that you want to listen

If there is any chance would love to see us sign Maatsen before the window closes if thats possible. I have watched the Huddersfield game twice and he was immense in every aspect of his game. I can see him being one of the stand out players for us, and his value dramatically shooting up. The type of player, if we get promoted , to have on our side

Noticed that Jack Hendry has been left out of the Club Brugges squad for this weekend’s game, despite hardly any CBs available. The player responded with an Instagram post that has his hands over his face as though in shock. All appears not to be well in paradise for him.

I lazily wrote last night, which one or two numpties jumped on, that Hendry would be ideal for us but I don’t know how good he is. What I meant by that is that he is an ideal height and physique for us (height was under discussion at CB) and we know VK likes him, but personally I don’t know enough to have an opinion.

One to watch though, and I do feel we will be targeted soon with high balls.

Ah the man who championed WW as a good signing for the club

Kompany is choosing the players along with staff at the club, the club is then getting the transfers done.
It's a joint effort, not that you want to listen
I thought Wout would've been good here, he was certainly no worse than the rest of the strikers last season. He definitely wasn't good though. I'm not sure why that is being brought up though? I asked which foreign youngsters Pace signed with Dyche here. I'm not sure why you get so touchy and aggressive when asked to expand upon your point and faced with a simple question.

You’re basically anticipating others will try to Burnley us

If we keep the ball well enough (as we did vs Hudds), this should be nothing to worry about really.

To score from high balls you need the ball in the first place, then accurate delivery (less likely in the Championship), then a great finish to beat a keeper with a header. I’m not too bothered about it if we can retain possession & protect well against set pieces/corners.
