Enjoyable
Normally be disappointed with a result like that. In context VK probably has a core of about 15 he can rely on to work with. Costelloe looks a player that will be an asset in time. 10 players bedding in. They were a playoff team last season.
2 strikers and we’ll be phenomenal by October I reckon. Adebayo reminds me of Akinbiyi at his peak, should be the first phone call tomorrow.

It's going to be a fun season.
Think Adebayo would be good for us. Seventeen goals last season. Not sure how quick he is and how good his movement off the ball is. That's important for the next striker we sign I feel.

We had one shot on target and scored from it in previous seasons this board would have been in meltdown yet everyone seems to see it as a positive performance '' vive la difference ''.

Easy on the eye with no real threat
I think I could have been in goals for Luton today, and the result would have been no different.
Not usually a good sign, however replace the top 2 and it will instantly improve the creativity, threat, quality and goals.
It's a new side learning to play the system and with each other, and I'm 100% certain VK knows we need a goal scorer, and a creative wide man, thst he may now have got with Benson

Regardless even of the scores, its just exciting and enjoyable to watch. This is the football I want my team to play. Still buzzing for what lies ahead.

Also very happy but hoping VK drills some more penetrative play in to them. Runs in to the box and taking players on. More like the second half.
Family all thought Costelloe played well today, but I feel Benson & Vitinho looked more likely to get in behind.

Re: Enjoyable
2nd half was enjoyable yes, and I can what Vinny's trying to achieve, I only hope the fans show patience, because they're could well be many games like today where we struggle to break down teams who defend doggedly, and attempt to hit on the break.
Re: Enjoyable
Not worried about being unable to unpick teams at this stage considering all our major attacking threats are either injured, only just joined or still to arrive

Vaguely reminded me of an out of sorts Arsenal side , easy on the eye , athletic , good passing , yet terribly boring to watch ( 1st half ) and almost no end product . Once a proper striker is in and Jay returns this side could fly .

Re: Enjoyable
How many goals will we let in with playing Tippy Tappy at the back thois season ? My guess is 4
Re: Enjoyable
Id snap your hand off for that. As the benefits of it probably lead to 10x that in goals scored.

Because nobody else is moronic enough to judge a league table off 180 minutes of football.

The football is very enjoyable to watch. Once we gel up front I think we could one of the best in the league to watch.
Special mention to Benson he’s very much a bums of seats winger. (Personally my favourite type of winger to watch).

Why do you bother supporting us? Do you even support us? You don’t go on games, you don’t offer anything positive, you constantly strive for a negative however ludicrous the assertion, you constantly make snide remarks, you repeat the same ridiculous points over and over and over again, you ruin threads and you’re a trenchant bore. Go and do something productive with your life if you don’t like people making positive comments about the club you claim to be a fan of.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 5:34 pmLots of people were literally creaming themselves that night with unbridled elation that this league was in the bag on the back of 1 victory. Re: Enjoyable
The point, jakub, is that the thread was about we clarets enjoying or being able to enjoy a style of football, or even call it enjoyable football. It had no reference point whatsoever to trigger you to bring up Blackburn Rovers currently heading the table.
It’s not relevant, it’s not material, it’s not important, and frankly if the respective positions of the two clubs is what’s a primary thought, then perhaps some reflection is required.
